As an Iranian in Iran, I need to point out that the economic situation in Iran is catastrophic right now. Most people still haven't received their Farvardin monthly salaries (March 21-April 20 in Iranian calendar). Businesses are seeing record-low sales — when no one has income, people only buy bare survival necessities. I can personally confirm this: I haven't been paid either. I've started selling whatever I can just to get by. Bank staff, nurses, teachers, pensioners — none have received their money. I have practically zero income. If it wasn't for the free Starlink for Iranians (thank you Elon Musk), I wouldn't even have internet right now. This is the brutal reality on the ground. Yet Islamic regime agents keep lying that "the enemy" (the West) is paying a heavier price. Complete nonsense. The Hormuz situation strained things globally a bit, but it's nothing compared to what Iranians are enduring. Whether you believe in God or not, look at what happened to the Iranian team. They were denied three wins — against New Zealand, Egypt, and Belgium — all by offside calls. The taste of victory was given to them, then violently taken back. They hit the post. They missed penalties. Those things happen in football. But then three separate scenarios that could have kept them in the tournament all failed too. Hope was constantly within reach… only to be snuffed out at the last second. You cannot negotiate with Islamic Republic and IRGC. I am telling you this as an Iranian inside Iran who has suffered and seen my people suffer at their hands. Article 9 of the Islamic Republic’s own Constitution: “In the Islamic Republic of Iran, freedom, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the country are inseparable… No authority has the right to abrogate legitimate freedoms, not even by enacting laws and regulations, under the pretext of preserving the independence and territorial integrity of the country.” Yet the regime has now imposed a nationwide internet blackout on its own people for over 1,000 hours — the longest in history, per NetBlocks — all in the name of “security”. They’re doing precisely what their Constitution forbids: stripping legitimate freedoms under the excuse of protecting the nation. If the Islamic Republic can’t even respect its own fundamental laws, why would the world expect it to honor any ceasefire, peace negotiations, or international agreements? Why are they being welcomed with kisses and flowers in Islamabad? Because Pakistan benefits from the terror of the Islamic Republic, and is an accomplice in all the suffering and spilled blood. Iranians have created their own class of immigrant in the west, where they are being differentiated as law abiding and contributing to society in opposed to most people who migrate from none-western societies to a western one. Make no mistake: this is the influence of pre 1979 and policies of the Shah. Regime mouthpiece in this video is trying to sell the Islamic Republic as some kind of benevolent actor because a full tank of gas costs $0.75. Reality check: 95% of Iranians make less than $200 a month (after taxes). Roughly 1/200 of your monthly income for full tank is not anything out of the ordinary for an oil-rich nation. This “cheap” price is purely local, priced exactly for what Iranians should be able to afford in their own country — and of course it’s heavily subsidized in an oil-rich nation. It’s a drop of water in an inferno. The massive economic collapse, hyperinflation, poverty and daily humiliation Iranians endure under this regime makes their little gas-price stunt look pathetic.
