We must remind young professionals as they go and vote on 4 November, that the EFF tabled a motion in parliament to scrap professional fees for unemployed graduates and early career professionals. The ANC and the DA opposed it! Let the Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Engineers, Lawyers, Accountants, Pharmacists, Architects etc. VOTE WISELY! Don’t take my word for it. SEE FOR YOURSELF. #VoteEFF

Buti Manamela is incompetent, incoherent, incorrigible, and cannot be saved. He must just go! After claiming to approve the appointment of 4 Advisors to the NSFAS Administrator, he now says he does not know how much they are being paid, and whether or not he approved the amounts. If just 2 Advisors invoiced NSFAS nearly HALF A MILLION for July alone. Without even counting the cost of the Administrator, his Advisors alone are likely to cost the entity over R 24 MILLION over the period. All of this without any approval from the Minister of Finance as is required by the Act. In the video he is just aimlessly mumbling! You can barely make out what he is saying. South Africa's students deserve better than this. Buti Manamela is not the solution and cannot be trusted by the youth of this country, students in particular!

A law firm is appointed to represent the NYDA Board Chairperson in her personal case against a Sunday Times journalist. No one knows what process was followed. CFO doesn’t know. Company Secretary doesn’t know. Legal Office doesn’t know. Public resources are going to be used, and no one knows what process was followed. This is why we need the youth to register to vote!

In just a space of 2.5 years, over R 559 MILLION has been paid to 4 middleman companies at NSFAS. Imagine how much will be spent in 7 YEARS! Young people must never believe the LIE that we don’t have enough money to FUND Education. The money is there. It’s just being STOLEN by comrades and their corrupt Ministers! Buti Manamela is refusing to respond to the EFF letter on this heist, sent on 14 July 2026. His friends must tell him we are not going to retreat on this fight.

The High Court has ruled! The most incompetent Minister has lost his case on placing NSFAS under Administration WITH COSTS AT SCALE C! Buti Manamela is a monumental failure and embarrassment. I am starting to see why he was a Deputy all these years. He is simple out of depth, and cannot handle this responsibility. Keeping him as Minister will do more damage to him than good. The guy is just not ready! We told him on 29 May 2026, that he will lose this case. He runs the department of Higher Education in the most clandestine and criminal manner. He convenes secret meeting, disregards the law and all legislation, and appoints the most dodgy characters across all entities! The Board is back! His friend, the Administrator, and ALL 4 Advisors who were going to be paid MILLIONS ILLEGALLY must pack their bags and leave Cape Town before the end of business day.

The President is not saying this for the first time. He said it 4 years ago, when MacG's Podcast and Chill came to Winnie Mandela House to record an episode. "Don't use this platform to depoliticise the youth." The President is the Number 1 supporter of the creative industry. He consistently backs alternative platforms and new mediums of information. As he always says, “The battle is on the wires!” As Leader of Society he has a responsibility to educate the youth, provide political direction, and show us the way.

After the CHEAP celebrations by the ANC–DA GNU, a terrifying and painful reality will set in. Over 656 000 learners passed Matric. Over 345 000 of them qualify for University Admission. Yet, DHET has less than 200 000 spaces across Universities and TVET Colleges for First-Time Entering Students. Meaning, HALF A MILLION young people will be pushed into the ranks of the NEET Youth (Not in Employment, Education, or Training). Already, close to 4 MILLION young people are trapped in the NEET category. If public funds were not being STOLEN from SETAs, CETs, NSF, and related skills programs, these learners could ALL be absorbed into Post-School Education, which extends beyond Universities and TVET Colleges. #MatricResults2025

TVET Colleges should ALL be FREE. The argument is simple👇🏿 If an overwhelming majority of TVET college students are NSFAS eligible and funded, why does government need so many layers of funding distribution? If government is serious about efficiency, a decision must immediately be taken to make all TVET colleges FREE. Young people should simply walk in and register, without any financial and/or bureaucratic hurdles.

While on the road, we joined the Parliament Meeting with NSFAS and the 4 middleman companies running student accommodation. NSFAS has paid R 615 MILLION to these 4 fintechs, to provide the exact same service. Pure criminality! To make matters worse, initially; Training Young Minds (TYM) bid R 9.4 Million, but has been paid R 48.4 MILLION! New Dawn Technologies (NDT) bid R 46 Million, but has been paid R 121 MILLION! Xiquel Group bid R 8.2 Million, but has been paid R 251.6 MILLION! Profecia IT bid R 20.5 Million, but has been paid R 194 MILLION! The EFF will continue to fight for the youth and students of South Africa. Buti Manamela’s ANC steals money that is meant to fund your education and then buys you cheap KFC and T-shirts for SRC Elections! 🤷🏿♂️

President Thabo Mbeki touches on the Nugent Commission, established by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2018 and chaired by Judge Robert Nugent, to investigate governance failures, capture and the deliberate destruction of South African Revenue Services (SARS). I am sure President Mbeki would fall off his chair if he were to find out that one of the senior SARS executives who was suspended during the post-Nugent clean up in 2019 has now been appointed by Buti Manamela as the Administrator of NSFAS to look after over R 50 Billion meant for students annually. In the same way a political decision was taken to destroy SARS, a political decision seems to have been taken to destroy NSFAS. Perhaps, we must write to SARS and the National Treasury about this dodgy appointment.

NSFAS Board Members have come out to say that the Minister of Higher Education, Buti Manamela, interfered in the appointment of the CEO by convening secret meetings and instructing them to delay Board Meetings. We are now going to summon former NSFAS Board Members to come testify under oath. We refuse to surrender over R 50 Billion meant to service students to criminal elements!

A whistleblower shared the appointment letter of the NYDA Board Candidate wherein it shows he submitted a qualification to Mbombela to be a Senior Researcher. He either lied to Parliament, or forged his qualification to the Municipality. We’ve submitted to the Public Protector.
