Let’s not forget he’s great at posing like a nice little statue with zucchetto and pectoral cross, but it never even crossed his mind to study the rite in which the Pope was taking part, and improvisation reigned.

Now, one can perhaps accept having a card reader by the candles or at the back of the church: it is undoubtedly convenient and, given that people no longer tend to carry cash, one has to adapt. But doing this for all the faithful during the offertory is absurd. It wastes time and takes away from the sacredness of the liturgy. It is well known that Mauro Gambetti would do anything to rake in money. Perhaps, however, it would be better to have the faithful make their donations at other times. Before or after Mass, surely? Difficult concepts for someone who would not even want to celebrate Mass in the first place.

Today, it is the journalists themselves who have exposed just how ideological and disastrous this crusade has been. Paolo Ruffini, Andrea Tornielli, and Andrea Monda are despised by the very media professionals who—albeit quietly—acknowledge their ineptitude and inconsistency. Uno dei problemi del pontificato di Bergoglio è stato anche il clima che si era creato intorno a lui: un clima opprimente, che rendeva impossibile un confronto aperto e sincero. Esprimere un’opinione critica veniva subito interpretato come un attacco al Papa, un segno di squilibrio, o qualcosa di simile. Eppure, ciò che emergeva era semplicemente il bisogno di verità e franchezza — frutto di visioni ecclesiali e spiritualità diverse. Ignazio e Agostino, pur essendo entrambi santi, avevano sensibilità differenti, ma non per questo dovevano escludersi a vicenda. Questo video è prezioso perché ci aiuta a comprendere che nella Chiesa è possibile convivere nella diversità, e testimonia un volto di Chiesa autentico e sincero.

Questi sono stati i grandi drammi del pontificato di Benedetto XVI e oggi portano Peter Erdo come loro candidato, il che significherebbe eleggere un uomo che con il clero sarebbe peggio di Francesco.

Non ci sono più i milioni investiti sui conduttori perché “ci portano il Papa in studio”. Finiti i libri scritti sulla pelle della gente con prefazioni Papali. Cambia proprio tutto, per chi non ha capito niente di cosa è e chi è il Papa.
