Okay, let me join the trend 😊 Hello Victor Osimhen I traveled from London to Manchester for the sole purpose of watching you vs Manchester City in January. Despite sitting in City fans corners, I openly rooted for you and Gala. 😊 Toby TobyWrites and I made some efforts to see you after game in your hotel but we heard your team flew back to Istanbul same night. You have sent me signed jersey before and we have also privately interacted a couple of times. Being busy, we have not been able to have extensive discussions. As you may know, I am the CEO of property companies 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 and Africa Property Hub I'm sure we can do business together in the property space. Happy to continue the discussion in the DM. 😊

There was nothing intentional in Diaz’s penalty miss. - Pirlo did in Euro final - Zidane did in World Cup final Panenka on a big stage is the preserve of the greatest in the game. Historic moment. Man just wanted to create something for history book. Boomeranged!

Listening to this Dangote interview. and connecting it with a recent encounter with a top Hausa businessman Alhaji He said same thing about not keeping a lot of money in bank. I wonder whether there is a cultural underpinning to that business philosophy. Or too few examples?

Galatasaray fan stands in Etihad vs Man City. I’ve watched a few live games in the UK but I don’t think I have seen an away team this vociferous on away stadium. Despite the fact that fireworks are not allowed, I don’t know how they bypassed security to bring these in. If they bring this kind of energy to an away game in another country, I can imagine the atmosphere when at home. Turkish football fans appear to be on another level.

Taking a walk, saw some site workers and security personnel playing football on a street, asked them to put me in the next set. Got a goal for the team within 5 minutes, asked to be substituted and continued the walk

I said on a Twitter Space recently that the tax authorities do not have the capacity to go after everybody. The tax laws put N25m as quarterly threshold for banks to share reports with them. And N100m for corporate accounts. Now, let’s say each deposit money bank has 5,000 customers whose total inflows in a quarter is N25m and each MFB/neobank has 1,000. There are 23 banks in Nigeria and 1,000 MFBs. (5,000*23)+(1,000*1,000)= 1.1m people per quarter whose bank accounts will feature. Now, imagine the administrative procedure of comparing the tax records of 1.1m people every three months with their bank records and writing to each of them to explain the disparity. And repeat same every three months. For administrative convenience, the only reasonable thing to do is to have an administrative threshold higher than the statutory threshold. In other words, if banks, as the law requires, submit records of 1.1m accounts with N25m+ inflows every quarter, the tax authority may decide to ask questions only from people with N100m+ plus or just do top 50,000 people from the 1.1m people they have on their table. At the end of the day, it still goes back to the central message of this tax reform - the rich are the target. I don’t know why everyone is panicking. No tax authority in the world has the capacity to go after everyone. Imagine spending N1m to get N50,000 from you. Your Opay account is not the target, even if it does transactions of N25m in a quarter. The cost of going after you is more than the amount they will collect from you. The people that will get them tens or hundreds of millions in tax, if found wanting, are the target.
