Color grading in Blender is how you build your visual style. Most artists skip it — and every render ends up looking like a render. Technically fine. Visually forgettable. Grading directly in Blender means no external tools, no roundtripping. Cinematic result straight out of the renderer. But more than that — this is where your signature look comes from. The contrast, the temperature, the way shadows feel. That's not the scene. That's you. Ignore it and you're always one step away from having a style of your own. The sky texture in Blender 5 changed how I work with environments. Multiple scattering alone is worth the update — realistic light, accurate shadows, full mood control. No HDRIs needed for environment work. But a clean sky is boring. So I layer on top: procedural clouds or real stock photos, gradient mask to fade the horizon, volume for atmosphere. Sky texture handles the light. Everything else is just background. Full breakdown on YouTube:

Cinematic animation in Blender is my favourite thing to do. That moment when the camera moves, lights hit just right, particles float through the air, and music kicks in… nothing beats it. If you want to learn how to create this kind of animation in Blender, the full Cinematic Animation masterclasses (and everything else in the shop) are 50% OFF - 👉
