I’m just still SO confused on why Cedric Mullins didn’t run on this play. I get the “good sportsmanship” in a situation like this, but we’re in a push for the playoffs. You HAVE to get to 2nd base there.

It is so obvious that the entire Mets locker room is lost right now, there is zero leadership or accountability being taken. Too many mental errors and mistakes to be just "moving forward" without making change.

After doing some further research after this news came out…. Here’s two potential plays where Francisco Lindor likely could’ve been mad at Jeff McNeil. 1. Jeff McNeil is nowhere to be seen on a ground ball to second, allowing a run to score. 2. The following play, Jeff McNeil shows ZERO effort on a blooper into centerfield, which allowed a run to score. Not 100%, but these could be the plays… (Shoutout MLB film-room!)

Carlos Mendoza says the Mets did not consider intentionally walking Nico Hoerner in the 10th inning. "In that situation, especially with Hoerner, you put him at first base, they're going to take second base there.” Unreal.
