Cornyn’s buddies in the OAG office tried to impeach their boss unsuccessfully. It was the Bush Machine’s final attempt at destroying Paxton before he was set to run against Cornyn for the establishment’s coveted Senate seat. They brought ZERO evidence to the FBI and ZERO evidence to the trial. It was a sham impeachment, with many of the house members who voted to impeach not returning the next session because they lost their seat. Houston Police responded on 3/25/26 to a report of a man with a bag waiving a handgun around on the street on Glenmont Dr. in Southwest Houston. Officer Lopez immediately engaged with Bara'Atef Mohammad AlQudah, who drew a firearm from his pink bag and began firing at Lopez. Lopez returned fire, chasing the suspect and eventually eliminating the threat.
