Houston Police responded on 3/25/26 to a report of a man with a bag waiving a handgun around on the street on Glenmont Dr. in Southwest Houston. Officer Lopez immediately engaged with Bara'Atef Mohammad AlQudah, who drew a firearm from his pink bag and began firing at Lopez. Lopez returned fire, chasing the suspect and eventually eliminating the threat. Questions remaining: #1 Who was Bara'Atef Mohammad AlQudah? #2 How did he manage to get to Houston? #3 How did he obtain a firearm?
