Odisha is paying the price for its own minerals. The MMDR Amendment Bill, 2026 undermines the Supreme Court’s ruling protecting states’ rights over mineral revenues. For Odisha, it means: 🔴 ₹1 lakh crore+ revenue at risk 🔴 Less DMF funding for tribal healthcare, schools & clean water 🔴 More gains for mining companies, less for local communities Odisha’s minerals must benefit Odisha’s people first. #Odisha #SaveOdisha #MineralRights #DMF #MMDRBill

What happens when our mines run empty? Odisha’s coal and iron ore have driven our economy for decades, but they are limited resources. We have to start asking the tough questions about tomorrow. Recently, I had the opportunity to raise this crucial issue with the IT Minister. My proposal was clear: we need to build a Knowledge Park and an AI Hub in Cuttack. 💡 We cannot keep losing our brightest minds to other states. Our youth shouldn’t have to leave their homes just to find a good job. They deserve the tools, the infrastructure, and the opportunities to become innovators and job creators right here in Odisha. Let’s invest in the minds of our youth, because that is the only resource that will never run out #coalmines #youth #odisha #barabaticuttack #sofiafirdous
