Imagine you'd told them in 2010 that 15 years later the #gaa would introduce rules to guarantee these type of calls in almost every game? Already, two U-20 knock-out and one senior provincial final have been swung by misapplication of FRC rules Will there be calls for a rematch if Louth lose on a wrong 2-point call, this year - like Tipp 20s or Donegal 20s? Tipp 20s - ref applied solo and go rule to the letter of the law, unlike every other ref we'd seen and gifted Cork a free when Tipp had the ball. Draw game and Tipp eliminated Donegal 20s - two points down in possession in last minute when Tyrone clearly breached the four up rule. Blind-eyed. A minute later, Donegal in possession, one point down, and free called for the same breach. Tyrone win Ulster Mayo seniors - should have been one down, not two on last possession in injury time after a two pointer was incorrectly called a one pointer The farce has to stop

Fun new rules hypothesis #gaa What if the free had come off the upper post? Probably should have kicked it over the endline 🤔 More significantly, it alludes to how little understanding there still is on some basic details, never mind the finer Moneyball details to the new rules The tragedy will be when it all becomes apparent if all rules are passed at Congress in Autumn and can't be changed for four years

I'm a bit hazy on some new rules. Can somebody help? Under what rule does the referee decide, 15 minutes in, that I'm not allowed to coach on this side of the field, but the UL selector is? Is it a "Dublin Accent Rule" I'm not aware of? A bye law covering all games in Limerick, maybe? I've literally shouted "paint right" to one of my players (you can hear on 3 seconds) There's no dug outs. No painted boxes. No designated areas. No fucking linesperson. Nor were TUD asked to provide one There's a selector from each side there. The rest of the two management teams are, respectively, either side of the half way line on the far side We've clearly both been seen by the referee already. I've retrieved the ball twice, right beside the UL selector. At what point, under what rules am I not allowed to coach my players on this line, but UL are? Allowing them control 3/4 of the line (when they stay in that 3/4) and confining us to 1/4? Are there new pages in the @LadiesFootballrule book or the Ladies HEC bye laws I've missed? Is this really what people want for Gaelic football? A free run for catching a kick-out Is the 40 metre kick out arc really working as intended by the FRC, as they claim? If so, why did they have to introduce this ludicrous rule five games in? Instead of owning up to having failed to have foreseen the crowded fielding areas the 40 metre arc would create, they've dug a deeper hole The madness has to stop. The back-pass rule, tap and go and penalty for delaying frees is what we needed This is just plain nonsense

Remember when they promised us a new kicking game of football? But what we got is less kicking than in 2024 with teams like Kerry choosing to recycle and stand soloing outside set defences And then they called it "bespoke" You couldn't make it up And Co board delegates are about to follow the FRC into Congress on Saturday like the kids following the Pied Piper...because the FRC and RTE told us so

THE SQUARE D #allirelandfootballfinal - As predicted, the new rules see Kerry trump Ulster's best - Kerry's early 7 point lead off kick-out dominance - Kerry's dismantling of Donegal's set defence - Donegal the better team from 14th to 55th minute - McCole vs Clifford....McCole won the war on "classic ball" but Kerry's manipulation of lines saw Clifford excel #KerryVDonegal #KerryGAA #KerryGAA

The 3v3 rule cannot co-exist with other proposed #frc rules It has to go With the keeper receiving the pass in the other half, it will create endless 12 v 11 possession football or an entirely new sport betraying all traditions of the game "Is this the game we really want?"
