Today is my birthday and what I want more than anything is for Molly to become a lap cat but I suppose I will settle for world peace. 🤞🏼✌🏼

The M25 during rush hour, or as others call it, the Serengeti. There are so many beautiful and unique spots throughout Africa, but as tourists, we tend to congregate in the same places at the same time; the Mara, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater etc. I’ve seen some troubling behaviour from tourists, getting too close, harassing animals, ignoring park rules, obstructing migrations and even interrupting hunting! I’ve witnessed literally hundreds of jeeps crowd around a single animal, I’ve witnessed tourists beeping their horns loudly. We seem to leave our brains at home when we go on holiday! I’ve always believed that enjoying nature and appreciating wildlife is such an important part of life. There are ways of enjoying wildlife without destroying the ecosystem that it relies on. If you’re considering going on safari, think about staying in a conservancy (like Gamewatchers Safaris in Kenya) or protected land (like TAASA Lodge in Tanzania), that aims to empower and protect local communities, as well as nature. Please share this with someone who is thinking of going on safari!
