This is what La Guaira Venezuela *actually* looked like this week. Big up one of my favorite Venezuelan folkloric bands ever, Tambor Urbano, and beautiful dancer la talentosa Mariana Mora. Stop fear mongering— Trump has done enough of that by already murdering over 80 folks.

U.S.-backed dictatorship openly admits to more human rights violations. Ecuador’s Minister of Interior, John Reimberg, said that the power outages that citizens have been reporting this week are in fact intentionally engineered by the military in the regions where operations, one of which resulted in a young man being tortured to death, are taking place in collaboration with the U.S. SOUTHCOM. I remind this government, which is stupid enough to admit this on national TV, that denying a population access to electricity as collective punishment for the criminal activities of *some* is explicitly illegal under international law, especially during an armed conflict/state of war as this government has declared it. This occurs days after a UN investigation and 8 UN experts sounded the alarm on the torture and repression of this U.S. puppet regime

May these precious young comrades see the fall of this US-backed dictatorship and the rise of a workers revolution all in their lifetime.

🛑 Footage of the U.S. military bombing Ecuador’s Amazon last night. SouthCom alleges it was a counter-narcotics strike on a FARC guerrilla camp; I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that this province also happens to have one of Ecuador’s largest oil reserves. This province is home to 5 indigenous communities who’ve been organizing and resisting against mining corporations for decades. Just last week, the fascist Noboa dictatorship illegally changed the mining laws to expand resource extraction —despite more than 60% of the nation voting against mining this past November— in what many elected officials are calling an “unconstitutional abue of power”. The FARC guerrilla are a *formerly* Marxist organization born in response to the fascist Colombian state that massacred over 20,000 people between 1948-1958 and as resistance to centuries of unequal land distribution, exploitative working conditions, and the imperialist Cold War. Since then, the FARC is alleged to have been infiltrated and corrupted by drug cartels and other bourgeois agents, no longer acting in the interests of the working class. You know who else has been infiltrated by drug cartels? Ecuador’s Presidential Palace. The shipping company owned by fascist dictator, Daniel Noboa, was found with almost 30 million euros of cocaine in its cargo. Despite the findings of this international investigation, the United States continues to refer to Daniel Noboa as their “Number One partner in combatting drug trafficking in Latin America”. The irony.
