RIP Gene Hackman, one of the best to ever do it, when you're done revisiting Royal Tenenbaums, The Conversation, etc. highly recommend checking out his immaculately sleazy slaughterhouse operator/mob enforcer villain in Prime Cut (1972), pitch perfect scumbag, a blast to watch

RIP Tatsuya Nakadai!!!!! After his Kobayashi/Kurosawa work, I recommend THE WOLVES, a yakuza drama with Leone-esque ambition about Nakadai realizing the systems of honor he's devoted his life to are a sham, usurped by coldblooded 20th century capital. Some of his very best work.
