I've given a fuck all after I got out of the military, the people never gave a fuck about us. Oh they'll say thanks for serving but do they even know what that means? Unless they were family or friends, most people gave 2 shits when a soldier died in Iraq or Afghanistan. We have funerals here pretty often and people will line up kneeling on sidewalks as they pay their final respects to their fallen warriors. A completely different show of respect, which the American people lack.
