Today 29 years ago, “School Hard” was aired for first time and Buffy the Vampire Slayer introduced us to #Spike🖤! He arrived in Sunnydale crashing through the welcome sign in his car, his platinum hair, a leather coat, and an attitude that made it clear from the very first moment that he was unlike any vampire we had met before. He came into the story as a villain. A threat who, originally, wasn’t even supposed to stick around for very long. But Spike stayed. And he went on to have one of the longest, most complex, and fascinating journeys in the entire series: enemy, reluctant ally, a man in love, a hero, and ultimately, someone who fought to reclaim his own soul. All started here: “Home sweet home.” 29 years later, Sunnydale simply wouldn’t have been the same without him. And neither would #Buffy ❤️🔥 Happy Anniversary!! (September 29, 1997 — September 29, 2026) #btvs

24 years ago, “Beneath You” was aired for first time. This episode gave us one of the most powerful and unforgettable moments in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. “Why does a man do what he mustn’t? For her. To be hers.” And then the truth. Spike had gotten his soul back…For her. It was shocking. Devastating. Beautiful. A revelation that changed everything we thought we knew about Spike, about Buffy and Spike, and about what their story could become. Because It wasn’t a curse. It wasn’t something forced upon him. He chose it. He fought for it. He endured unimaginable pain to become something he had never been before — because loving Buffy had forced him to confront the monster he was and the man he wanted to be. And there he stood in that church, broken beneath the weight of the soul he had chosen, finally telling her the truth. “I wanted to give you what you deserve.” Nothing between them would ever be the same again. 24 years later, that scene still hits just as hard. Still heartbreaking. Still breathtaking. Still Painfully beautiful. ❤️🔥 Buffy and Spike gave a love that became a catalyst for change. (October 1, 2002 - October 1, 2026) #Spike #Buffy #Btvs #Spuffy
