Happening Now: The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima Senator Kashim Shettima, who earlier today departed Abuja, has arrived in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a one-day working visit. Senator Shettima, who was received on arrival at the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, Ado-Ekiti, by the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, and other top state officials, is billed to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone (EKZ). He will also commission the newly built Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) along Old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti. The Vice President will further commission the newly constructed 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover at Okeyinmi, Ado-Ekiti, one of the legacy projects of the Oyebanji administration. Today's one-day working visit is the second official visit of Vice President Shettima to the state. The first was in May 2024, when he inaugurated the Omisanjana–Deeper Life–Ajebandele Road and the MSME Clinic in Ado-Ekiti.
