“The matriarch 1090F is going down on the 15th of September." Antonis K. posted that on Facebook, before vowing to bring four friends to Wyoming to "harvest" her. A second hunter said he'd take the shot too. Wildlife advocates tried offering $10,000 to expose whoever did it, then had to pull the offer, Wyoming law protects hunters' identities. 1090F is the matriarch of Mollie's Pack, Yellowstone's oldest wolf family, known for generations as skilled bison hunters, tracing back to the original 1995-96 reintroduction. At 12 years old, she's almost one hunting season away from becoming the oldest wolf ever recorded in Wyoming. Her pack left Yellowstone's protection this summer, denning right outside the boundary where hunting is legal. People begged Wyoming's Game and Fish Commission to close just that one zone, just for this pack, just for this season. One official got 1,100 emails in five minutes. "She is dangerously close to being the oldest wolf ever recorded in Wyoming," he admitted. They said no anyway. On September 15th, the exact day hunters targeted her, most of the pack was confirmed back inside Yellowstone's boundary. But there are new pups this season, now finally old enough to travel with the pack, and that makes everyone more vulnerable. Yellowstone wolves grow up used to tourists and vehicles, not guns. They haven't learned to fear humans the way wolves outside the park have. The hunt remains open, and wolves don't adhere to boundaries. There's already talk of stripping wolves of federal protection entirely. Trump signed an executive order giving his administration 90 days to decide whether to move forward. That wouldn't touch wolves inside Yellowstone's boundary, protection there doesn't come from this law anyway. But wild animals don't know where that boundary is. Yesterday, Trump blocked $25 million already approved for national parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite, Zion, and Joshua Tree, over 130 projects, rejected, with no warning. Interior's excuse? These groups are supposedly "working against the best interests of the American people." That's it. That's the whole explanation. Trump has spent his second term purging anything tied to DEI, climate change, or anything he considers "woke" or liberal. This fits that same pattern. A former NPS acting superintendent and wildlife biologist, Elaine Leslie, asked the obvious question out loud: "The real question is where did this $25 million go to? Where is it?" This isn't the first time this has happened this year. Park entrance fees are supposed to stay with the parks. Instead, $323 million of that money got redirected straight to his vanity projects. In 2024, that number was only $7.5 million. This money is supposed to stay at the parks. Instead, it's funding a loophole nobody's bothered to close. Democratic senators keep demanding transparency. A gray wolf walked into Sequoia National Park this spring for the first time in over a CENTURY. Her name is BEY03F. This is a big deal, wolves haven’t set foot here in a hundred years, and she just did it on her own. 🐺 She’s three years old, alone, looking for a mate. Months before her family was killed by the state after livestock attacks, she’d already left, already walking south alone — gone before it happened. She crossed the Mojave and made history in LA County. Now she’s made history in Sequoia. Still walking, still looking, still free. Nobody released these wolves. Nobody funded a program. California hunted, trapped, and poisoned every wolf out of this state by the 1920s, and they walked themselves back anyway, starting in 2011, all the way from Oregon. That’s what she is. Proof it can still happen. She’s protected today under the Endangered Species Act. That’s good. But what worries me is the direction this administration is taking that same law — this July, they took habitat destruction out of the definition of “harm.” And her own family’s death proves the state can still pull the trigger itself. One wolf. A hundred years of silence, broken. It’s so good to see the wolf return. Now, let’s hope she finds a mate. 🐺 #DemsUnited

“Help me please, I have my papers!” Those were the screams of Marta Leiva, as ICE dragged her away at the SLC airport. Four plainclothes agents can be seen restraining her near baggage claim as she pleads that she has legal documentation. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, ICE told the outlet in a Thursday morning email that it was “not involved.” But later aft local police identified them as ICE, the agency reversed course & admitted “this was ICE.” SLC Mayor wants to know “why were they in plainclothes without visible identification? Nothing about this incident makes me feel safer as an American.” #DemsUnited #EndICE

11/11/25 Agents from ICE arrested Adán Núñez Gonzalez, who’s lived in Northfield, MN for over a decade. He is a father of four & his wife & children are US citizens. He worked as a house painter doing small jobs. Agents wore plain clothes & masks, broke a car window, pointed guns, & pulled him out of the passenger seat. Without showing a warrant or identifying themselves. All in front of his 15 yr old son who was visibly traumatized. He will be deported to Mexico. #DemsUnited #EndIceAbuse
