55,000 Hīkoi Mō Te Tiriti protestors marched to the Parliament forecourt today. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, the MP who led the haka in parliament last week, said: "This march was never about the Bill. I ripped that in half & chucked it away. This march is about us."

The Herald reports that 55,000 people attended the hīkoi to Kill the Bill. When asked why he wasn't listening to them, Chris Luxon said he was focused on improving outcomes for Māori, "not this stuff." By "this stuff," of course, Luxon means honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
