This is so great. Matthew Yglesias appeared on The Fifth Column 🖐 and handwaved (literally) about cancel culture from pro-Israel and Jewish American groups over Israeli policy, an oft-repeated claim. When Michael C Moynihan asked him for examples, he couldn’t come up with any. Because it’s false.

OMFG this is the ad Thomas Massie is crashing out over. He claims voters watched this and thought “Oh wow, he really had a throuple with Ilhan and AOC.” He deserves to have lost just for insinuating his constituents are as dumb as his Pakistani followers. What an asshole.

I'm so tired of these sleazy semantic games. Whether or not Palestinians committed "genocide" on October 7 is meaningless to me. They committed a crime against humanity that was horrific in its brutal outcome as well as in its intent. Full stop. What is meaningful is how all the toddlers throwing temper tantrums over "genocide" in Gaza twist themselves into tight knots to deny the motives and actions of Islamist terror and irredentism. Mouin can't answer a straight question: if casualty figures don't determine "genocide" but intent does, then do Hamas' actions on October 7 qualify? He won't answer. Instead, he deflects and nitpicks things I've said elsewhere. Because answering the question is a tacit admission that he himself is a not-so-reluctant advocate for genocide and ethnic cleansing. In the March 2024 debate with Norman Finkelstein, Destiny | Steven Bonnell II, and Benny Morris, moderated by Lex Fridman, he pays lip service to the notion that the deliberate killing of some Israeli civilians is illegitimate. But in the same breath, he refuses to characterize "the efforts by Palestinians on October 7 to seize Israeli territory and Israeli population centers as in and of themselves illegitimate." To be clear, the territory and population centers he sees as fair game (the Gaza Envelope, at the very least) were never part of any land swap deals since 1967. What's left is the implication that Israel must be disbanded, and by any means necessary. Because for Mouin Rabbani and his ilk, every accusation is a confession.

At 0:40, Joe Rogan says, "when it comes to antisemitism... it's a religion, and it's also a race, and it's also a government. That's where things get weird." Charitably, he's referring to how Judaism is discussed, not how it's defined (Judaism is not a race and it's definitely not a government). But it's also a tell. Rogan gravitates toward conspiracy theories that concern shadowy agencies. He might resist the leap from criticism of the Israeli government to antisemitic tropes, but the people whispering in his ear — like Ian Carroll and Darryl Cooper — have made that leap, and they are gradually and systematically trying to normalize full-blown antisemitic narratives.

Adorable how Megyn Kelly mocks the CBS/Free Press deal (to Ana Kasparian no less) because "the financials were largely inflated" (3:19). The same Megyn Kelly was bought by NBC in 2017 for $69M. CBS bought not only Bari Weiss but the entire FP roster for $150M.

The entire clip should be viewed in all its glory. But pay attention to the first few seconds (clipped here): Cenk Uygur and his ilk claim to distinguish between Israel and Jews, but never between Israel and Israelis. Because they can get away with their deep burning bigotry against 10 million citizens (20% of which is non-Jewish) by retreating to “diaspora Jews” whenever convenient. That’s what’s unique about Israel: it allows you to condemn the overwhelming majority of the Jewish people — Israelis and their Jewish supporters — while sleazily holding up a few antizionist Jews as the “good ones” because they oppose the very concept of a Jewish state. These people genuinely want to dismantle Israel and erase the Israeli people — spiritually if not physically. They simply hide it in postmodern jargon and semantic games so they never have to say it out loud.

Recall that Megyn Kelly — who joined NBC in 2017 for $69M! — was very skeptical about “the inflated financials” of the CBS deal, which included not only Bari Weiss but the entire Free Press roster, for $150M in 2025. Megyn is harboring a lot of pent up resentment.

Behold the Woke Right Mind Virus. Dave Smith blames Western hegemony not just for Andrew Tate, but — wait for it — the Nazis. In his moral contrarianism, the bad guys are never agents, only reactions. All evil is just blowback. Responsibility belongs solely to the good guys.

More on Dave’s “strawman”. (For those in the back: a strawman argument is when you misrepresent your opponent’s position to make it easier to attack.) Dave: “The Israeli government is also responsible for constantly trying to lure my government into more wars.” Konstantin: “Oh, I see. So the American government is so gullible that they just go around invading countries on the say-so of Israel.” Dave: “Again, what a strawman, dude! Benjamin Netanyahu came to America in 2002…” WTF is Dave talking about? Konstantin very accurately summarized Dave’s statement and reasonably pointed out that it makes the US government look like Israel’s pawn. Dave’s followup about Bibi’s visit* just restates his own premise, but that’s not what’s in dispute. The real issue is whether Israel should be blamed for asking the US to act in Israel’s interests. Dave is the one building a strawman by pretending Konstantin denied Bibi’s influence, so he can avoid addressing the actual point: that the US has complete agency. This is why listening to Dave’s debates can be such an energy drain. He lobs loud, incoherent sound bites like a bull in a china shop. Everyone walks away outraged — and dumber. ___ * Leaving aside the fact that Bibi wasn’t even in government during his 2002 visit and Sharon’s administration opposed the invasion.

Since I posted this yesterday, I've changed my mind on Joe Rogan. He continues to say: "Then there's the concept of intelligence agencies and compromise that also gets attached to it, the manipulation of world markets and money. There's a lot to unpack. And then there's regular Jewish people who have nothing to do with that." I’m not entirely sure what he means by “the manipulation,” but it’s clearly a broader conspiracy than just Israel — and he’s explicitly tying it to Jews. Not to individuals in finance, not even to statistical overrepresentation, but to “manipulation” itself. Joe has crossed the Rubicon. The irony is that — just two months ago — Gad Saad told Joe about how Jews are blamed for every world calamity. Joe even laughed. It's not so funny anymore, though, is it.

Here's a 5 minute clip demonstrating what a lying fraud Norman Finkelstein, a self-described scholar on international law, is (with Rabbani in tow). Several times he claims to have read South Africa's "comprehensive" 84-page ICJ case ("around 4 times"). When Destiny (Destiny | Steven Bonnell II) brings up dolus specialis as a specific requirement for the Genocide Convention's definition of genocide (specific intent to destroy), both of them seem confused (Rabbani: "Sorry, I don't know that term"). Finkelstein tries to correct Destiny: "That's mens rea" and then continues to sound like a deranged lunatic instead of refuting the point or acceding to it. Here's the thing: In South Africa's claim, dolus specialis appears 4 times. Mens rea appears 0 times.

I finally watched the entire Bill Maher episode. What's funny to me is that the Sam haters would agree with 90% of his underlying views, which have not changed all that much since his first appearance on Real Time with Ben Affleck 10 years ago. Here's a clip of Sam speaking about Elon's erratic online behavior, which is perfectly exemplified by his "mentally ill" reaction. Ironically, Maher even jokes about clips from this interview being weaponized against him, much like Elon did.

Who could have possibly seen all these antisemites turning on Dave Smith after he pathetically and shamelessly cozied up to them? At the very least, Noam Dworman. Here he warns Dave in December 2023 and Dave playing coy in response. Dave should have heeded the warning.

Let Yonit Levi clearly explain why there’s so much opposition in Israel today to a Palestinian state. 🔥🔥🔥

Just to show how easily the Mandela Effect takes hold: Here’s Josh Szeps telling Noam Dworman that while there’s a “tremendous amount of disinformation,” some claims are “completely verifiable,” citing videos of “the Israeli army mowing down detainees with their hands cuffed behind their backs.” Just like the Sde Teiman scandal, no such video exists. Separate images — bulldozers, half-naked detainees, prison guards bearing shields, etc. — are blended into vivid but false memories.

Behold just what a fraud Omer Bartov عومر بَرتوف עמר ברטוב is. Noam Dworman quotes Bartov’s own words saying that Germany had to be destroyed in order to defeat Hitler. Bartov then says that the Allies did not commit a war crime — despite killing 600K German civilians — because after the war they occupied Germany and rebuilt it. This is just an insane argument. He assesses Allied actions as moral in hindsight, but he confidently judges Israel’s actions as genocidal before the war is over! So if Israel helps rebuild Gaza after Hamas is destroyed, will he just declare mea culpa?? And of course he vehemently denies that Bibi — unlike Churchill and Roosevelt — differentiates between combatants and civilians, but Noam Dworman brings the goods. Someone whose sudden global spotlight hinges on what Bibi did or did not say should know exactly what Bibi did or did not say. The entire anti-Israel narrative is built on lies and distortions. I do not exaggerate when I say I have yet to see one single person who believes the claim of genocide in Gaza who doesn’t turn out to be dishonest or woefully ignorant of basic facts.
