About six months ago our church made the first steps to start singing less “Jesus is my boyfriend” music and more theologically rich, historically Christian, and beautiful music. We’ve plodded along, and it’s taken a bit of work. We meet on Wednesdays and practice a bit before our Bible study, but the outcome is worth it. Well worth it. Now, by God’s grace, we joyfully close every service with our hands high and the Doxology in four parts. We aren’t professionals, I get it, but this might be the most beautiful thing I hear every week. This is completely within reach. If we can do it, anybody can.
