Ummm… this is a clear foul and should have been a penalty for Vinicius Jr. #CopaAmerica

Wasn’t all pretty, but the U.S. Soccer Men's National Team punch their ticket to the semi and did what they needed to do. A couple of nervous young fans at home enjoyed that shootout! Winning matters - hit me with your morning after reflections: Go:

What do we think the 40 yard sprint time is on Messi’s bodyguard? 😤

Landed in Seattle. Quick thoughts on Balogun. Also— 90% of the plane talking about this as people were getting off. Pretty awesome to see

I really don’t think it’s out of the question to consider a late flyer on Zavier Gozo making the #USMNT squad. 19 years old, but the kid is fearless, full of swagger and has been on a heater. We’ve seen crazier things…. 🤔

The roster cut email has been completely overblown. If I was a player that didn’t make it, I wouldn’t want a phone call —- the moment is awful however it’s delivered, but what can a coach tell me in that moment that will soften the blow? Nothing.

The Noahkai Banks discussion is nuanced and as John Strong says here “We are talking about a 19 yr old kid who isn’t just thinking about this summer, he’s thinking about the rest of his pro career.” Here’s a in-depth 6:30 minutes of Alexi Lalas and I bickering — flanked by David Mosse and John to bring the convo back to earth. Alexi Lalas' State of the Union Podcast

I can’t remember a better goal in Tyler Adams’s career? This is an unreal strike, especially considering it’s basically his 3rd game in a year. All time goal in 🇺🇸 🇲🇽 as well… welcome back. Wow.

Wow… insane and LOUD atmosphere inside a sold out 82,000 MetLife stadium for Argentina 🇦🇷 vs Chile 🇨🇱. Messi at the site of a Copa America Final loss to the same opponent. Will he be playing here for the 2026 Final? 😬 Live now on FS1

4…. Yes 4 goals for Jordan Morris. No call up to U.S. Soccer Men's National Team and gets the start at center forward - HUGE performance.

Pochettino played who he felt were the “best 11 available players” vs Belgium and the shape/intensity was poor. He went against his intuition and gut feeling of what the best TEAM/collective is for this group. The changes today will be interesting.

Loved getting to tell Bob Bradley about an incident 17 years ago with the national team. We’d had a heart to heart about what I wanted in my career and then I went out after the game for a few beers and some karaoke 😂😂
