By 9:16 p.m., police received additional reports of 15 more shots fired and a black SUV fleeing eastbound on 42nd Street. Two SUVs were seen leaving in opposite directions. Minutes later, Mount Sinai Hospital reported a shooting victim dropped off by a black Ford SUV. At 9:34 p.m., police stopped a black Ford Explorer matching the suspect vehicle’s description shortly after it dropped off one of the victims. Officers also responded to a nearby McDonald’s, where the second victim had sought help. According to CPD, officers responded to a walk-in gunshot victim call at Mount Sinai Hospital. The victims — a 19-year-old male and a 17-year-old male — told officers they were walking outside near the park when they “heard a noise and felt pain.” Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of the body and self-transported to the hospital, where they were listed in fair condition. Police noted both victims were uncooperative in providing further details. Victims: 17-year-old Hispanic male — grazed in the back of the head; additional wounds to buttocks, arm (3x), and shoulder. 19-year-old Hispanic male — gunshot wounds to calf (2x), buttocks, and hip.
