Cursor + gpt4-32k = illegal levels of productivity Best coding copilot by far Made the switch and i'm likely never going to use ChatGPT or vscode again Crazy how big of a difference small ux changes can make (in line code editing, no copy pasting, i can reference files)

Just listened to Bill gates podcast with sam, and it's very clear that OpenAI is purposely sandbagging Even Bill - who initially did not expect GPT-5 to be much better than GPT-4, mentioned how amazed he was by the demos hes seen. Right now, everyone thinks chatGPT sucks (including Sam himself) but remember, OpenAI hasn't released a new class of models in ~1.5 years. This is creating the illusion that models have hit their upper limit, and that progress will continue to be slow But if you listen to the podcast , its extremely clear how quickly we're going to accelerate from models doing basic, tasks to actually being able run companies. But personally i think 2024 will be the an even bigger year than the "chatGPT" moment we had. Literally no one (myself included) is ready for the rate of change we're about to experience as humanity. Most companies will be eaten by an agi-like software, and yes that includes most apps you use today. Definitely scary, but there is a sense of calm, knowing that if they're right, all of humanity is in this together. but i am excited to see what I can build with such technology

after using replit's coding agent i think...its over for a lot of traditional saas wanted slack notifications when customers subscribed/cancelled Zapier was 30/mo JUST to add a price filter instead replit's agent built & deployed one in < 5 mins, with tests. 1/10 of the cost

o1-pro is probably the best model i've used for coding, hands down i gave it a pretty complicated codebase and asked it to refactor while referencing docs the difference between claude/gemini/o1 and o1 pro is night and day. first time in a while i've been this impressed. full comparison in the video + code.

Anthropic literally killed every "chatPDF" wrapper with Claude2 - you can upload files now I tried Tesla's latest q1 update, and asked "What are the key takeaways from this q1 update? Can you make any forecasts for the price?" It was able to answer it flawlessly, with sources

made a video covering my ai coding workflow + tools, built a dashboard < 5 mins ridiculous how easy it is to go from idea to product now half my day is just conducting ai (cursor, claude v0) to build things for me 0:00 - 1:48 tools overview 1:50 - 3:43 initial setup 3:45 - 6:00 cursor magic w/ composer

The #1 use case of web browsing agents isn't ordering food/booking flights it's using other agentic platforms. instead of human in the loop you have *another* agent in the loop. this creates a semi autonomous agent. this is probably how we get to agi: - vertically agents (doing one thing really well) - glued together by everything api (web browser) most llm providers will probably vertically integrate. i.e good chance we'll see "operating agents" running thousands of chatgpt/claudes instances on your behalf. ex: just watched operator using an ai spreadsheet (Otto ) to research, store and then use the data for creating a powerpoint. the only thing it needs to worry about is the high level goal and moving things around.

A customer was spending $20k/mo on manual receipt entry: - 5k+ man-hours/week - 3k invoices a day, team drowning in paperwork ~100 daily hours to process it all Built them a way to automate this Otto in 5 mins. It now: - processes ~2k receipts in 1 hr (10x faster) - automatically categorizes and labels it - extracts the name, items, date, nicely structured for their internal system

Wow. This takes "chatPDF" to an entirely new level. Don't think this is possible with regular rag either I gave 4 highly tabular pdfs to gemini 1.5 (tesla financials) it understood the entire context, summed all the tabular values and gave me a nearly perfect response.

In depth explanation + examples of why sometimes you don't need rag (especially with gemini 2.0)
