Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [18/10/2026]: 🇾🇪 On the eighteenth day of the Sana’a forces offensive to capture Taiz Ansarallah took full control of Taluq in the direction of Jabal Aswad at dawn. Meanwhile, PLC forces and their tribal allies launched a counterattack aimed at lifting the siege on troops in Al-Shaqab and Dabba; as a result, the towns of Anbyan, Watir, Al-Naydani, Sarari, and Al-Awat are now in a gray zone due to counterattacks by Sanaa forces and attacks by the PLC (which achieved limited gains). To the west of the city of Taiz, the situation remains calm, with no changes on the ground. Map: [ ]

Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [18/10/2026]: Pt 2.🇾🇪 In Lahij governorate, after a month of stalemate on Kahbub axis, Sanaa forces managed to capture most of the eastern part of the Kahbub Mountains (Jabal al-Rafad, Jabal Aswad, and Jabal al-Khabb) following the Aden forces’ withdrawal to the highest peaks of the mountain range. The Kahbuh mountain range is essential for holding positions along the coast; therefore, if Ansarallah continues to advance toward Adidiyah, a new encircling maneuver by Ansarallah would force the Aden forces to withdraw permanently from the vicinity of the Bab el Mandeb Strait. Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [13/10/2026] Pt 2: 🇾🇪 This morning, Sana’a forces launched a powerful attack along the border between the governorates of Taiz and Lahij, causing the Aden forces to collapse in the district of Al Madaribah, specifically in the areas of Mansour and Jabal Hawab. As a result, Ansarallah took control of the areas of Al-Sharjan, Al-Kalalah, Batan, Al-Dhraa, Al-Hafiziyah, Al-Qubaisa and Jabal Aswad, extending as far as the centre of Al-Mudharabah. At the same time, troops stationed in Souq Al-Jumruk advanced towards Lower Al-Mudharabah, joining forces with the other troops and taking control of a vast area spanning the governorates of Taiz and Lahij. Aden forces began an abrupt retreat towards Shatin. Map: [ ]

While fabricated news stories emerge about advances by Aden forces in Marib toward Sanaa, the reality of the situation hits them hard. The YNA suffered heavy losses—both in personnel and equipment—during the fighting in September and October. The attrition from the battles over the hills of the Jawf and Marib deserts is taking its toll on the ability of the PLC and its allies to hold their positions in Lahij once Taiz has fallen, but it also opens the door for Ansarallah to end the fighting in the north by eliminating the last strongholds of the pro-Saudi YNA. 🇾🇪

Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [16/10/2026]: 🇾🇪 On the sixteenth day of the Sana’a forces offensive to capture Taiz Ansarallah focused its efforts on the Sabir Al Mawadim front, taking control of Wadi Arsh and the town of Al-Mu'ayna, and launched an assault on Jabal Dhahih Kahlan, a strategic high ground for the tribal forces under siege in Al-Shaqab and Kahlan. Meanwhile, reinforcements from Sanaa continue to arrive around Taiz, prompting the Saudi Air Force to intensify its airstrikes in the area over the past hours. Map: [ ]

Today, the Aden forces launched a new attack on Dhubab, taking control of Al Ardi and advancing toward Dhubah Airport (which is under intermittent control). However, the Sanaa forces’ launch of an encircling maneuver from Jabal Kahbub, combined with a missile strike, forced the Southern Giants to retreat to their current positions, leaving the situation on the coast once again at a stalemate. 🇾🇪 Map: [ ]

The second phase of Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” begins: Capture the city of Taiz. 🇾🇪 On September 11, Ansarallah succeeded in taking control of Sheikh Said and thereby reaching Bab el-Mandeb. Fighting has crossed the border into the Lahij governorate from five axes (Suqayyah, Al-Burahah, Hawab, Al-Muhawalah, Kahub) and has captured the first areas of this governorate. The second phase of Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” begins: Capturing the city of Taiz. On September 11, Ansarallah succeeded in taking control of Sheikh Said and thereby reaching Bab el-Mandeb. Fighting has crossed the border into the Lahij governorate from five axes (Suqayyah, Al-Burahah, Hawab, Al-Muhawalah, Kahub) and is capturing the first areas of this governorate. As the advance continues, images keep emerging of territory abandoned by the Aden government’s forces.

Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [8/10/2026]: 🇾🇪 Sana’a forces continued their eighth day of the offensive to capture the city of Taiz and took full control of the mountains in the Jabal Habashi district with the capture of Jabal Al-Armah, Afah, Adinah, Hajramin, Al-Mahraq, Jarf, Al-Zawai, Al-Mizbar, Al-Mahsha, and Al-Shariq, forcing the Aden forces to retreat to Bani Issa, the last area in the Jabal Habashi district under their control. Over the past 48 hours, contradictions have emerged regarding the situation around Bab el-Mandeb. The Sana’a forces control Sheikh Said and the town of Al Ardi and carried out incursions into the Al-Azaf area, withdrawing afterwards as they were unable to consolidate their positions. A similar situation is unfolding at Dhubab airport, where Aden forces have established a temporary presence only to withdraw subsequently, due to the impossibility of defending themselves on flat, exposed terrain. This is why Aden forces are currently attempting to take control of Al Hamra and Jabal Kahbub, in order to gain access to Jabal al-Umari and the headquarters of the 17th Brigade. 🇾🇪 Map: [ ]

Yemen: Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [7/10/2026]: 🇾🇪 After clearing the lower pocket, Sanaa forces continued advancing in the upper pocket toward the city of Taiz. - On the Jabal Habashi front, Ansarallah captured the summit of that mountain as well as Al-Mansama, Al-Bariha, and Al-Munim, but was repelled in its attempt to capture Jabal Al-Armah. Meanwhile, the effort to encircle the mountainous area continued with the capture of Namrah and Wadi Hanna. - On the Mishrak front, Sanaa forces captured Qash’ah, Nawazil (an attack toward the northern highway was repelled in this direction), Rahbah, Shabit, Waraqa, Hebbah, and Al-Matali. Meanwhile, PLC forces were able to repel Ansarallah’s attempts to advance toward Najd Qusaym, recapturing Al-Kulaibah. Map: [ ]

Syria is in turmoil. 🇸🇾 For weeks, government and activist propaganda portrayed the scenes of convoys of Iraqi trucks loaded with oil heading toward Baniyas as an unprecedented milestone in Syria’s economic recovery. However, what the propagandists failed to mention is that Baniyas is not the final destination for the oil; rather, it is rerouted abroad, and the profits from this go to new economic actors sympathetic to or affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government—not to the population. Compounding the energy crisis caused by the regional conflict with Iran, Damascus decreed a 40% increase in the price of oil.

It has been three years since the attack by Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups against Israel—a miscalculated attack that sealed the fate of the Gaza Strip. 🇵🇸🇮🇱 The Palestinian forces thought the rest of the resistance would come to their aid, and they were wrong. As a result, they gave Israel a pretext to intensify its policy of extermination against the Palestinians, leading to a massacre that left more than 60,000 dead in its bombing campaign and ground offensive. That offensive eventually spread to Lebanon and significantly weakened Hezbollah following the decapitation operation. As for Syria, the October 7 attack was not a death sentence, since the military leadership’s betrayal had been brewing since 2021; all that was needed was the green light for the plan to be set in motion. Three years later, the axis of resistance has been considerably weakened by the loss of the Syrian bridgehead, but this has not meant its end. Iran and the Iraqi, Lebanese, and Yemeni resistance have regained the initiative and have managed to stand up to a U.S.-Israeli operation. Hezbollah continues to resist in southern Lebanon, where the struggle has become an existential battle primarily for the Shia community, while in Syria, the resistance is building slowly but inexorably. In Gaza, however, the resistance has been defeated, with no possibility of reorganization and a strip condemned to the expansionist delusions of Zionism and its allies in the Middle East. Had the attacks of October 7 not occurred, they might have prevented thousands of deaths and the enormous instability now plaguing the region, but they would not have brought about peace in the Middle East. The clash between two models—Zionism and the resistance to it—was inevitable. However, in light of Syria’s fall and the hypocrisy hidden behind “Arab unity,” we must reconsider whether the resistance’s objectives should be changed or approached differently, choosing loyal allies and exposing traitors. Only in this way can the axis of resistance emerge victorious in a Middle East that is different from the one that existed when it was created.

Sana'a forces have released new footage showing the YNA being repelled in the Jawf Desert. 🇾🇪 Encouraged by the capture of Jabal an-Nuddar, Jabal Labinah, and Labinah Camp, PLC forces, supported by the Saudi Air Force, launched a major armed assault to seize Jabal Duḩayḑah and Nasr Camp. Despite the disparity in forces, Ansarallah managed to repel the assault, inflicting significant material losses on the enemy forces. Ansarallah then launched a counterattack, which resulted in the recapture of Jabal an-Nuddar and Jabal Labinah by September 12, while Labinah Camp remains in the hands of the YNA, where mopping-up operations are continuing to strengthen their positions. The end of the Syrian Democratic Forces. 🇸🇾 On 20 August, General Mazloum Abdi announced that ‘the military, security and administrative integration process has been completed’. This came weeks after the formation of the four new SDF/YPG brigades within the 60th & 72nd Divisions was completed and the Asayish forces took control of the remaining positions in the contact zones following the withdrawal of the STG. The withdrawal of non-Syrian Kurdish forces, which had fought for years within the ranks of the SDF, was also announced. However, despite the official announcement, the process of integrating certain SDF institutions into the national structure remains pending, as does the implementation of the rights of the Kurdish population (and their protection against the anti-Kurdish campaign by Arab tribes) promised by the Syrian transitional government in January. It also remains to be determined how the ‘autonomous’ zone of Hasakah will function, and which powers will be shared and which will be regional. Map: [ ]

The war with Iran is reshaping the balance of power in Iraq. 🇺🇸🇮🇶 During the withdrawal from Iraq, NATO countries and the US asked the Iraqi resistance for a 24-hour truce to ensure the withdrawal from their bases. The US is withdrawing its personnel from Victory Base in Baghdad, which has been repeatedly attacked during these three weeks of fighting, to its bases in Jordan, which will bring an end to the US presence on Iraqi federal territory (a process that had accelerated following the withdrawal of most of its troops from Syria and the handover of Al-Asad Airbase in January 2026), leaving only Al-Harir Air Base in Iraqi Kurdistan, which is likely to become the new target of attacks alongside the daily strikes against the headquarters of the Kurdish militias. The US withdrawal from Baghdad is a victory for the Iraqi people, who have fought for two decades to rid themselves of foreign occupation.

Fighting between Ansarallah and the YNA are taking place at Jabal al-Umari (13°00'19.4"N 43°28'41.7"E). The PLC has ordered its forces to buy time to complete their withdrawal to the Aden governorate. It appears that Alimi has decided that the territory Tareq Saleh had controlled for years is lost (blue area). Compounding this deterioration in relations within the coalition is the discontent among southern troops, who—despite having been subdued in January by Riyadh-backed forces—will not hesitate to rebel should their historic territory be threatened. 🇾🇪

The withdrawal of the last military equipment from Baghdad and the final troops from Harir Airbase to Jordan brings to an end 23 years of US presence on Iraqi soil. 🇮🇶🇺🇸 Iraqi Council of Ministers has declared an official public holiday across all state institutions from Wednesday, September 30, through Saturday, October 3, in celebration of the Republic of Iraq's Sovereignty Days following the withdrawal of US & the remaining European forces from Iraq territory.

Russians have cut off the Druzhkivka–Andriivka route. 🇷🇺🇺🇦 After consolidating their positions in Novomykolaivka, Russian forces managed to gain the upper hand over Ukrainian forces at the Vesko dachas, also known as Novo Nikolaevka-Druzha, from where clearance work continues at the quarry and the mining company’s buildings. This success enabled Russian soldiers to advance even further north, entering Novoandriivka. There is as yet no Russian consolidation, but this is expected to take effect in the coming days after Ukrainian troops withdrew towards the eastern quarries. Map: [ ]
