David Ortiz had some massive hits throughout the 2013 season. One of the most notorious was when he went off on the dugout phone in Baltimore after being ejected for arguing a bad call (no pun intended). It happened on July 27, 2013.

As Terry Francona wraps up a brilliant managerial career, I look back on one moment from his time in Boston that’s indelibly woven into my brain: his tearful embrace of Jon Lester after Jon’s no hitter at Fenway. I can’t watch it without tearing up myself.

13 years ago tonight, on October 30, 2013, the Boston Red Sox won the World Series at Fenway Park. And it was glorious.

October 16, 2008: Not a fan of how the series ended, but the Red Sox coming back from a 7-run deficit in the 7th to win game 5 of the ALCS remains one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I was watching/drinking on Causeway and I swear I heard the Fenway crowd from there.

October 17, 2004: Kevin Millar famously warns the Yankees, "Don't let us win today." They refuse to listen.

On September 12, 2018, the Red Sox won their 100th game and somehow just seeing Kimbrel on the mound gives me heart palpitations.

Nobody will remember: -your salary -how “busy” you were -how many hours you worked People will remember: -the clanging sound of Mark Bellhorn’s home run off Pesky’s Pole in game one of the 2004 World Series, which sealed the win for the Red Sox.

With due respect, no one gave stronger “I’m about to be the last out of the World Series” vibes than Matt Carpenter in 2013.

October 13, 2013. Ten years ago. Another insane comeback in an era that seemed to be defined by insane Red Sox comebacks. Once again, David Ortiz threw us all on his shoulders and somehow made the unbelievable seem oddly believable. Clutch defined.

21 years ago tonight, the Red Sox pulled off the greatest comeback in MLB history. I've watched this clip a million times &amp; will likely watch it a million more. In fact, at my funeral, just play this on loop with a note that says "he got to see it." Folks will know I died happy.

20 years ago today, before game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, Kevin Millar made one of the boldest, most memorable proclamations in Red Sox history. It was the rallying cry we needed when we literally had nothing left to lose. And we will never forget it.
