The lawlessness on full display since day before yesterday, right from Farakka to Chakulia is spreading like wildfire. The National Highway at Beldanga; Murshidabad district, has been completely obstructed by anti social elements for almost 3 hours now. Rampant stone pelting is happening unabated. The trains have been forcefully halted. The area is under the complete dominance of hoodlums, hooligans and goons. No sign of Police action till now. Thousands of passengers are stranded who are petrified and without food and water, with no respite in sight. I would like to urge the DGP (acting) West Bengal Police to mobilize Forces and regain control of the area. The message is very clear that the State of West Bengal is getting out of the grip of the Administration and Anti Socials and Rioters are taking over, who have the backing of the ruling TMC Party so that they can use the freehand to do whatever & whenever they want to do in order to disrupt normalcy. @BengalGovernor HOME DEPARTMENT - GOVT. I am bringing a serious matter of electoral malpractice and illegal interference to the immediate notice of the Election Commission of India. It has come to our knowledge that a person named Mojarul; who is a Personnel of the Kolkata Police, hailing from Nandigram, is unauthorizedly handling Voter Lists and actively summoning Police Personnel to the SDO Office in Haldia to cast their votes. He is reportedly instructing them to bring their Departmental I-Cards and Voter IDs for this purpose. This is a violation and illegal Interference. A Serving Police Personnel has no authority to manage voter lists or "coordinate" the voting process of other personnel in this manner. This is a clear attempt to interfere with the Postal Ballot process, potentially compromising the neutrality and secrecy of the vote for Uniformed Personnel. The involvement of a KP personnel in such activity at the Haldia SDO Office raises serious questions about the Jurisdictional Breach and influence being exerted on the ground. I urge the Election Commission of India & CEO West Bengal to take immediate cognizance of this blatant violation, investigate the role of Mojarul and under whose authority he is operating. ECI also must ensure that the Postal Ballot process remains free from the influence of middlemen or partisan elements within the Police Force.

Either she hasn't heard the names of Abhinav Bindra, Neeraj Chopra and is not acquainted about the laurels earned by the Indian Hockey Team. Shameful, Condemnable & Disrespectful West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee states that, "This is 'Mrityu Kumbh' & not Maha Kumbh". She doesn't have an idea regarding the Holy Maha Kumbh event which is happening after 144 years. Neither does she respects Hindu Traditions nor does she understands the importance of Sanatani Belief & Faith which has drawn over 50 Crore people till now to Prayagraj for taking a Holy Dip at the Sangam. Regarding her statement that, "For the rich, the VIP, there are systems available to get camps (tents) for as high as Rs 1 Lakhs. For the poor, there are no arrangements at Kumbh", let me tell her that the Poor don't have to spend a single paisa for food & shelter once they reach the Maha Kumbh Mela, with the Govt & the Akharas and Ashrams providing shelter and 24 hour Bhandaras being organized where Prasaad is being distributed to the Devotees at free of cost. Her lack of respect for Hindu traditions & her divisive rhetoric is an insult to millions of believers. She should know that this time a record number of Devotees from West Bengal have traveled and are still traveling to the Maha Kumbh Mela. I have written a letter to the Hon'ble @BengalGovernor requesting him to direct the West Bengal Government to get CAPF deployed in Mothabari; Malda District, on an urgent basis. The Jihadis are out of control and are plundering, bashing and vandalising in an unabated manner. Their targets are Hindus, whoever it may be. Look at the condition of the driver of a goods vehicle carrying cottage cheese. He was bashed up brutally for no fault of his own. Urgent Central Force deployment is the only solution to control the situation as Police have failed to contain the vandalism and hooliganism.

Mamata Banerjee is scared !!! The Mamata Banerjee Administration has stooped to a new low of cowardice and fascism. The devastating fire at the Nazirabad; Anandapur Warehouse has already claimed over 20 innocent lives (with the toll still rising and DNA testing underway for charred remains) and several more missing. The unfortunate incident has left families shattered and exposed the complete lack of regulation regarding industrial & fire safety. Warehouses storing hazardous materials, operating illegally without NOC & fire safety audit. The blood rather ashes is on the hands of Mamata Banerjee (yet to visit), her fire minister Sujit Bose who arrived 32 hours late, and the entire corrupt administration that allowed this preventable tragedy. As a responsible Leader of Opposition I intended to visit the area, only after the rescue operation was over. But instead of accountability, the TMC Administration has unleashed its favorite weapon: suppression of truth and opposition by getting a prohibitory order under Section 163(2) BNSS issued, banning assembly of 5 or more persons within a 100-meter radius of the incident site from 5 PM on 28 January until 30 March 2026. This draconian order is nothing but a shameless, targeted conspiracy to block me from visiting the area, meeting grieving families, consoling victims, and leading a peaceful protest march against TMC’s criminal negligence. They know the moment I reach Nazirabad/Narendrapur, the people’s rage will boil over against this inefficient State Govt, the failures of the Mamata Banerjee Govt will be laid bare, and their lies will crumble. This is not law and order; this is state-sponsored strangulation of Democracy.

Yesterday, Ramakrushna Dasmohapatra, a senior Servitor and Secretary of the Daitapati Nijog of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri; Odisha, was questioned by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Officials, regarding his statements and the unauthorized use of sacred wood. The SJTA sought clarification on his contradictory statements, the management of the Daru Gruha (wood storeroom), and whether a “Brahma” installation was performed at Digha. The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) issued a show-cause notice to Dasmohapatra, requiring him to respond within seven days to allegations that he claimed in a Bengali media interview during the Digha Temple’s inauguration on April 30, 2025, that idols were made from surplus sacred neem wood from Puri’s 2015 Nabakalebara. Failure to respond could lead to disciplinary action under the Shri Jagannath Temple Act, 1955. The visual evidence is clear, Diganta Bagchi, a sitting Member of the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC), was seen yesterday sharing the stage at a political program for the TMC candidate in Bhabanipur. The WBPSC is a Constitutional body tasked with the impartial recruitment of the State’s future Officers. How can the youth of Bengal expect fairness when the very people who are supposed to be 'Hon’ble Members' of the Commission are seen acting as 'Hon’ble Cadres' of the ruling party? This is a BLATANT VIOLATION of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), as no official post holder should be endorsing a political party during an election process. Mamata Banerjee has sent her TMC goons to the apolitical Protest Rally near RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. She thinks that she is the most shrewd person in the whole world and people won't be able to figure out the cunning plan that her goons appearing as protestors would mix with the crowd and carry out vandalism inside the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. They were given safe passage by the Police, who either ran away or looked the other way so that these lumpens would enter the hospital premises and destroy areas containing crucial evidence so that it doesn't get picked up by the CBI. As they were dumb TMC hooligans they couldn't execute the plan well and revealed their identity when they vandalised the Dharna Manch of the Resident Doctors, PGTs & Internees. Why would someone who has come to show solidarity would destroy the Epicenter of the Protests? Lastly the protests happened peacefully across the State, why violence erupted at RG Kar only? @BengalGovernor should immediately intervene. Central Bureau of Investigation (India) should take note of the brazen attempt by TMC to destroy evidence.

Mamata Banerjee has sent her TMC goons to the apolitical Protest Rally near RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. She thinks that she is the most shrewd person in the whole world and people won't be able to figure out the cunning plan that her goons appearing as protestors would mix with the crowd and carry out vandalism inside the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. They were given safe passage by the Police, who either ran away or looked the other way so that these lumpens would enter the hospital premises and destroy areas containing crucial evidence so that it doesn't get picked up by the CBI. As they were dumb TMC hooligans they couldn't execute the plan well and revealed their identity when they vandalised the Dharna Manch of the Resident Doctors, PGTs & Internees. Why would someone who has come to show solidarity would destroy the Epicenter of the Protests? Lastly the protests happened peacefully across the State, why violence erupted at RG Kar only? @BengalGovernor should immediately intervene. Tonight approximately around 8:20 PM, while I was returning from Purulia, at Chandrakona Road; Paschim Medinipur district, I was viciously attacked by TMC goons. I am deeply anguished to share a grave injustice unfolding in Kolkata, orchestrated by the Mamata Banerjee led administration. The Kolkata Police, acting as "Goondas in Uniform," have stooped to a new low by targeting the innocent family members of Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh. His son Shivam Singh (25) was arrested on baseless grounds of “providing logistical support” in a 'crime'. This arrest reeks of political vendetta, as the Police, unable to locate his father, have resorted to harassing his family. I met Smt. Seema Devi Singh, her son Subham Singh (28) and daughter Simran Singh (26) at their residence, where they shared their ordeal of being subjected to Police brutality, intimidation, and torture. This is a shameful abuse of power, targeting innocent family members. Under which law in India can the Police arrest family members as proxies for an accused? The answer is clear: NO LAW permits such illegal, unconstitutional, and immoral actions. The Indian Constitution, particularly Article 21, protects the personal liberty and dignity of every citizen. Arresting or torturing family members to coerce an accused violates fundamental rights and Supreme Court guidelines. Such actions are not only unlawful but a blatant misuse of authority by the Kolkata Police, acting at the behest of Mamata Banerjee to suppress dissent. We will not remain silent. The BJP stands firmly with the innocent family members and will pursue this matter in Court to ensure that the culpable Police personnel face strict punishment for their heinous actions. The Auto Rickshaw driver - Ajijul Gazi, happens to be a close aide of Nazrul Ali (husband of Sonarpur Uttar TMC MLA Firdousi Begum), along with 200 TMC workers gathered outside the main gate of the apartment complex. Later over 50 goons illegally and forcefully breached the gated society, barged into the Officer’s flat, beat him brutally, injured his head, misbehaved with his family members and vandalized his home. The Police were called around 9 PM. Response? Busy with other work. That “other work” is clearly shielding TMC terrorists. If a serving Central Government Officer living in a gated complex can be attacked with impunity, No one is safe in West Bengal anymore.
