The Muslim holiday on June 26th is the Day of Ashura (10 Muharram), which marks the primary day of fasting and remembrance on the Islamic calendar. In many Muslim-majority regions (such as Pakistan), it is also an officially recognised public holiday. Last year during the same celebration we had a Muslim man declare in Dublin's city centre that Ireland belongs to them. While I doubt any such declaration was made in Clonsilla today, people should take note that there are seemingly more Muslims gathering together for their milestone calender dates in Ireland than there are Christians gathering for their significant calendar dates. That's only going to lead to one outcome. Food for thought (or halal food for thought perhaps). The point is it is the fastest growing religion in the world and this is not just down to births but is also down to conversion. Islam is ever more present in Europe too, in large part due to immigration (and hateful attacks on Christians and Christian churches, statues and relics are on the rise too). I once read in The Guardian that Europe would be 70 or 80% Muslim by 2070 or there abouts. I cannot find that article now. Maybe it was scrubbed. But it probably wasn't far off the mark. Islam is a conquering religion. That is a fact. Christianity is not. That void created by secularism and atheism and communism and all the isms will be filled. Fact.

#AlexCoughlan Has Been Laid To Rest On His Birthday In a cruel twist of fate, Alex Coughlan has been laid to rest on his 38th birthday (May 30th, 2026). This specific date was incidental, as his loved ones did not have Alex returned to them until Friday May 29th. RTE were in attendance this morning. No other media appeared to be present. RTE's attendance felt like a box-ticking exercise: standing, arms folded, across the carpark of Stafford's funeral home in Ballyfermot, gazing at the mourners gathered, as a faded Irish flag flew on a pole nearby, tethered by a single cable tie. They reported little on the touching aspects of what was to be a celebration of Alex's life. The omissions feel calculated and in keeping with the lack of overall coverage of Alex's death. They published a short, dispassionate article about what was an incredibly moving service. I have, at the time of writing this piece, found no other articles online about the funeral itself—not even a mere mention today that it was taking place. The service for Alex was open to all, and this fact further indicates that what RTE and other media have not reported illustrates a lack of respect and a desire to conceal, as opposed to a desire to honour privacy. In the wake of his passing, RTE (purposely?) reported inaccurate details, leading to incorrect speculation and victim-blaming (which caused further unnecessary pain for his loved ones) around the circumstances of the day Alex left his home (and did not return until yesterday, where he lay in repose). Now, that is quite enough about the government's mouthpiece. Today is about Alex. Mourners were asked to make May 30th Alex's day. Everyone who gathered was asked to sing "Happy Birthday." As tears are not usually seen when singing "Happy Birthday," it was a well-wish like no other, for a human being who, for many there, was like no other. The words were sung in a heartfelt manner, with the sad realisation that he should be here celebrating. The backdrop behind the casket (with a single red rose upon it) was the Irish tricolour with lighting that subdued the green, white, and orange as it stood, standing in silent guard, as Alex made his final departure. Pictures and clips of a smiling Alex and his family, friends, and significant life events played throughout the service. He was spoken of as the glue that held his family together. It was clear Alex was a shining and guiding light in the lives of many. The celebrant spoke of the necessity to ensure that the circumstances leading to Alex's untimely departure be prevented, so that no family ever has to suffer such a loss again. In the final minutes, all who gathered were asked to sing "Ireland's Call" as family members carried Alex's coffin upon their shoulders past the crowd. He had been a proud Ireland rugby supporter in life. It goes without saying, an abundance of tears fell throughout the service, but particularly during singing. As the Garda walks away this muslim man who lives on the North Circular Road (his full address is stated) he says "I will destroy you". I know he is a muslim because at one point he mentions Allah. By rights someone should report this video to the Gardaí because he is clearly seen making a threat (albeit in a cowardly manner when the Garda is just out of earshot). To be honest I'm not going out of my way to do that because they have done me no favours when I have dealt with them over serious matters. The Garda in this case was way too nice and patient. If it was a non muslim non migrant driver I'm not sure he if he would have been like that.

It has been just over two months (17 May 2026) since Alex Coughlan's rich and meaningful existence was casually and cruelly taken, and both of the accused have still yet to be charged with murder (further charges are likely in time). His family wish to keep Alex in the collective memory of the public as much as possible. This entails more than acknowledging his death but also his life; and so they would like me to share this clip of Alex having a laugh with his younger sister Zara. To give another small glimpse into the type of person he was. To show that he had people who loved him. Who miss him. People whose path's were interwoven with Alex's in a million ways, until evil crossed his path on that unimaginable day. Rest In Peace Alex. Please share.

Social worker wrote letter directly to the little baby. To tell him she was happy to leave him with his "daddies" because they elicited a smile from him and gave him a hug during her inspection. Read the reason for her visit below. It is NOT uncommon for children to be responsive or affectionate toward their only means of having their needs met. Feeding etc. Why? Because they learn to appease in order to survive. It is instinctively built in. She should have known this and she should be jailed for this failure.

Very good run down of events here. It is very tragic to be proven wrong in the most violent of ways, with such finality. Not seeing the light until the darkness comes calling. I wonder if people in this lady's situation find themselves realising they made a devastating error in judgement as they fight for life. Or do thet still believe what they believe, even then. I feel extremely sorry this lady's young child who found her and I imagine what actually occurred in Jamie Carnie's finally moments was fear her daughter would be next. The Gardaí of course have still not released his name. This is a GDPR rights issue. I kid you not. Whatever his name is it's probably about as real as his con man perfect man routine. I bet he has committed plenty of crimes. Probably not his first murder rodeo. I STRESS I probably wouldn't have gotten along with Jamie and she probably would have hated me. Also, I certainly would not have exposed my daughter to this man under any circumstances. However, I can, when I pivot away from my outrage, see a situation where someone with her naive views thought this was a romantic situation; coming to beautiful Ireland, getting involved in the Palestinian cause with all the woke virtue signallers and then meeting someone who claimed to be fleeing war and was sweeping her off her feet. He clearly appeared to be displaying glib charm and looked clean cut and well presented. Looks like she thought she was in a movie. He would have behaved well long enough to establish a deep connection and have her trauma bonded to him. He would have told her all the bullshit lies you'd expect. Unfortunately because she didn't see Islam as the extreme barrier that it is, she overlooked the fact that in Islam women are unequivocally property akin to a dog for many men. Whatever jealousy or possessiveness that can cause a man to be controlling or violent is going to be far more normalised and accepted in Islam. It goes hand in hand. These are facts. Not "Islamophobia". It is front and centre for all to see. I see all the comments about this woman. I get it. Her empathy was suicidal (homicidal). But remember, if nothing else, she has a daughter who is 13 who is likely on social media and can see what people are saying about her mother [deserving to die]. When you say she deserved that, somewhere in that you are condoning murder. I'll likely be attacked for saying that. But it's true. I don't find her murder unsurprising. But I don't at all take pleasure in it or feel she deserved to die because of some very unwise decisions. I'm not going to lose my humanity here. Especially when her child could be watching.

Remember when a new neighbour might just want to borrow a cup of sugar? Meet #StephenOgilvie. A kind man. A vulnerable man. Well liked. Helpful to everyone. Lived in a complex for people with assisted living needs. Helped his new neighbours to settle in a few days ago. They had no legitimate right to be there. Came illegally to Dublin and then went up to the North 9 months later and skipped everyone who was homeless to get a free apartment. I won't be surprised if the man in question did something in the Republic and was moved on. Unbeknownst to Stephen or anyone else. His gentle welcoming kindness was repaid with a prolonged horror attack straight out of a Saw movie. Carried out, with no qualms, in a public place in full view of horrified onlookers. He now has no nose. No sight (was already hard of hearing) and nearly lost his head. He may not survive. If he does life will be immeasurably difficult psychologically and physically. But the media and politicians want to tell you you're bad for caring about Stephen or caring what happens to your loved ones. They want you to apologise for them creating an environment of abject terror where not one person feels (or is) safe.

I've a joke for you 🇮🇪. What does the raising of the Ukrianian flag, a coke snorting corrupt beggar (Zelensky) and a black African woman singing a Cranberries song have in common? They're all supposedly more representative of Ireland than your flag, your children and you. I know it wasn't a funny punchline. It wasn't meant to be. Its tragic, twisted and tortorus, and it's MEANT to be. You are witnessing a perverse transmogrification of everything that is authentically Irish. An African celebration of Africa would never involve a white Irish woman singing as a representative of Africa. In Nigeria, white people are banned from TV ads. I don't like the blatant hypocrisy. That's not racist. It just about truth, fairness and what's right. When I look at clips like this I wanna say "why?" but I actually know why. I want to say "what for?" but I know what for. If you don't know, you better catch up real fast. For the sake of your families. Your government doesn't work for you. They are minions working for faces you will never see and names you will never know (no, the Ursula's and even the banking families are not in charge) and are carrying out agendas that will irrevocably change your existence beyond all recognition. I speak out for women and girls without making a profit. You profiteer from exploiting them (in my view) and then you call them names for legitimately fearing being sexually assaulted in their daily lives. You appear to do everything for money, fame and the male gaze and you perpetuate the false notion that white western women are tramps (which many men from incompatible cultures use as an excuse to objectify and assault us). Many of those men are Only Fans consumers. So it wouldn't pay dividends to alienate them of course. Nor will you alienate the Irish media who fully endorse you because you play their game well. Maybe leave the moral highground stuff to women like me. I'm not wealthy, but I sleep with a clear conscience. That is worth more than any amount of money.

They were initially nice to Stephen then spoke with Mr.Bird and then changed their tune. This is THEFT, why are the Gardai refusing to get Stephen's phone back immediately? They say the matter will be dealt with in a week or so... 920 asylum seekers reside in the Breaffy complex. There's hundreds more in a retail park close by. The population of the town has more than doubled. It is rumoured the government will be making Breffy complex into a permanent IPAS reception centre and that Palestinians are being brought in. What is the answer here? What are communities meant to do? There is all sorts of unsettling activities happening in and around this complex...including criminal and seedy activity. Irish towns, once beautiful tourist destinations, are turning into ghettos.

Genuine Question! Why is ANYONE putting up with her telling us today is not the time to debate immigration? Why is anyone accepting her lies? Never be led by someone who slapped on a hijab and posed with several little girls also in hijabs (see comments). She should be standing up for her community and also these little girls, being a voice to free them from the oppressive force of an ideology that says THEY must cover up to help men avert their lustful gaze. THEY are responsible to hold back the urges of MEN? That's what she supports. Little girls never being able to feel their hair blowing in the wind. Never having real freedom. Being tasked with the responsibility of ensuring men don't feel attraction (as opposed to the men being expected to just not find children attractive) long before they know what attraction even means. When someone like me supports those little girls human rights she labels us with derogatory terms. For standing up for children. Then she has the CHEEK to wax lyrical about human rights from some Ivory Tower? Really. Please do FO Michelle O’Neill. Never take lectures from this shameful excuse for a woman and political leader. How dare she say she feels sympathy for the victim. It's because of her party and other politicians that this happened to this man. Maybe given her background she can normalise grotesque nightmarish violence. But it is NOT normal for someone to be subjected to what that man was and the very "diverse" community she speaks of are very quiet. Deathly quiet. They never speak out about these crimes. Never denouce them. As for a fair and rules based system. It does not exist. It is lax and deliberately so and NONE of the rules are implemented ever. Because they simply keep repeating this line, people believe it. Mistaking repetition for truth. It doesn't matter how many people get harmed or die, it doesn't matter the level of barbarism and cruelty, it doesn't matter if you are scared for your children or they can't play outside. They will keep doling out these tired old lies. Until you exert your power. The power of the people is greater than the people in power. Never forget it! If you do, you'll live or die regretting it. Stand up.

Believe it or not a form of this government robbery already exists in Ireland 🇮🇪. We already have a highly controversial, specific tax on unrealised gains. This existing mechanism is known as the Deemed Disposal regime. Under Irish tax law, if you invest in retail funds, like Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) or certain life assurance products, you are subject to an automatic tax on your unrealized gains every 8 years. Even if you do not sell your ETF, on the 8th anniversary of buying it, the law pretends (deems) that you sold it. If the investment grew in value, you are hit with a heavy tax on those "paper" profits. The Rate: Following changes in Budget 2026, this exit tax rate is 38% (reduced slightly from its previous high of 41%). Forcing people to pay tax on money they haven't actually cashed out forces investors to either liquidate part of their portfolio or keep large sums of cash on hand, killing the power of compound interest. How long before this policy extends to everything you own, making it impossible by default to own anything of value. You will literally own nothing, as they say, but probably won't be happy about it.
