The fourth edition of Ather Community Day is here! The idea behind these community days actually goes back to 2016. Back then, we were a startup without a product. We started Community Meetups as a way to tell our stories and, just as importantly, learn from our owners. Those conversations shaped not just how we talked about Ather, but what we built. As Ather grew, those meetups grew with us. In 2023, they became the first Ather Community Day with around 700 people. Last year, nearly 5,000 people joined us. While the scale changed, the purpose luckily hasn't. Community Day has always been where we share the thinking behind our products. The engineering decisions. The design trade offs. The details our teams spend months, and often years, obsessing over. Some of those stories might seem small. In 2024, we spent five minutes on stage talking about a storage box 🤯. Last year, we explained how we reinvented cruise control. Most product launches don't dwell on these details. Most product launches are not aimed at the customer at all. We do, because we believe they're what make the experience feel effortless. This year is a particularly important one for us. We'll unveil the first scooter built on our all new EL platform. Our biggest product launch yet. EL is our first all new vehicle platform since the original 450. We built it with a simple objective. Bring the Ather experience to a much larger audience without compromising on what makes an Ather, an Ather. It's our entry into the mass market scooter segment and the beginning of the next chapter for Ather. And EL is just one part of the story. We'll also share what's next across the Ather ecosystem and give everyone a closer look at some of the work happening inside our engineering and R&D teams. Rizta is finally hitting the road across the country! Yesterday, we hit a milestone by delivering 1,000 units of Rizta across India, our largest single-day delivery to date. Pune itself saw 501 Rizta deliveries yesterday. Despite the weather, it was amazing how customers still turned up to take the deliveries along with their families. Similar events were held in Jaipur and Indore too. We’ve also begun deliveries in the southern markets! Production is ramping up and we are hoping to catch-up with demand soon 😎

One thing we've resisted over the years is redesigning the 450 just because it's been around for a while. When we designed it, we spent a disproportionate amount of time getting the proportions, the stance and the silhouette right. The idea was to create something that would age well. Over the last eight years, we've changed almost everything else. Better batteries, better performance, better software, and every generation has become a more capable scooter while remaining unmistakably a 450. The 450X Overtones Series celebrates that iconic silhouette that we have fallen in love with over the years!

“It’s easy on an Ather” That’s our new brand campaign at Ather Energy Tech only creates real value when it simplifies life. While the early launches are about the coolness of the tech, it only becomes useful when it can finally disappear into the background. That’s when the focus can shift from the ‘tech’ itself to what it really ‘does for us’. Making things 'easy' is often super hard. And that's the benchmark that we want to try and live up to with our products. And that’s the story that we want to tell now. Future of all interfaces on a two wheeler - voice! We have been excited about it for a long time. Ather pretty much invented the concept of touch screens on 2Ws (being the first to do that on a production bike) and we continue to invest heavily into capabilities and feature sets on it. But even as we push the envelope on that front (almost half of our vehicles today ship with a touch TFT and 100% ship with on-board compute and connectivity) we believe the future could very well be one that does not need you to glance at the display at all. Using LLMs and natural language processing and bundling that inside our smart helmets (Halo) we believe that being able to ‘just tell’ your scooter what you want can be super intuitive. In fact far more intuitive than stationary applications like mobile phones, laptops etc. On a scooter you can’t operate touch while riding and we would rather have you glance as little as possible when in heavy traffic or at high speeds. Being able to just tell your Ather what you want, especially inside the cocoon of your helmet (or on any bluetooth headset really) is a significant tech and experience upgrade for riders: Navigation: “Take me to Nandi Hills,” “Navigate home,” “Let’s go to Cubbon Park,” “How far is the nearest charger?” “ETA to jaljog choraha?” "Time to stadium circle?" Vehicle Settings: “Decrease brightness,” or “Maximum brightness,” “Change Traction control to Rain,” “Magic twist, High,” “Share my live location.” Calls: “Call Rohit” - This is fully integrated with your existing contact list. Media controls: “Play the next song” “Pause” We unveiled it last year and have finally rolled out Voice on Ather to all our Gen 3 and above customers now. Do give it a try! Voice today is just the starting point. We believe we can build a ton of experiences for our riders on top of this capability. Next upgrade (soon): your Ather will talk and recommend things to you. Alerts, suggestions, feedbacks - proactively. Ather Energy

Pretty darn fantastic to hear 'Saare Jaahan se Achcha' in Paris. On their national day parade of all the places! Had a fantastic time participating as part of the CEOs council joining the PM Narendra Modi ji on his trip to France. India is now the world leader for electric 2W technology and products. From battery tech to esp Software and charging standards - India will be one of the largest exporters of EV 2/3 wheeler tech in the world. We are presented with a fantastic opportunity Ather Energy to bring this tech+products combo to the European markets and new age Indian companies will be able to make the most of it! It was particularly refreshing to see so many new Indian startups in the cohort this time!

We launched the latest Ather Energy 450 yesterday: 450S, meant to compete in the 125cc equivalent sports scooter category. While I can (and will) write a bunch about its performance, one of our biggest changes was in the dashboard. Every 125cc scooter has a boring 4-5 inch 12 segment display with an extremely uninspiring contrast and layout. It's like the designers retired for the day while designing the displays. With the 450S we are making segment displays cool again. It will sport India’s first DeepView(TM) Display. Largest segment display at 7" 20X better contrast ratio than the market: the blacks are blacks, not greys 18-segment characters Industry-first auto-brightness, And perhaps the best turn-by-turn ever with 18+ directional possibilities, so users can comfortably navigate even in a complicated 8-way roundabout.
