Love making these small interactions; swipe back to easily close what's open. Even before it's fully presented, which does make a difference to the experience. Available in the alpha today.

This turned out to be such a cozy color picker. Makes me smile inside every time I use it.

A popular request from folks on the Alpha has been to copy things by dragging while holding down option. Easy enough in theory, kind of essential - but man such a gnarly one to get working right.. 🫠 This will be in Alpha no 3, and another batch will be getting an invite soon.

$It's wild how these GPU-accelerated, ultra-performant effects have been available on native macOS/iOS for two decades. Works on top of live UI, works on top of video and complex view hierarchies, ripple effects, glass refraction, pixelation, colors, stacking... the list goes on$

X fam, you may now copy the link to a post on X and Spatial will do a clean paste of the video or image. One less excuse to not start building your own inspirational collection.

Color's got to be one of the fastest ways to recognize meaning. Green for done, red for priority, pink for insights.. It's like we're hard wired for it. However you use them, I'm hoping a color picker like this might make you want to use them more often.

I'm thinking one tangible use case for this notes app will be for interior designers to keep client mood boards with annotated photos, long notes, to do lists, meeting notes and short scribbles - all together in the same space.

Need help! Am getting super close to a beta now, BUT still don't have a name for this visually-collect-your-thoughts-and-things-app. What would you name something like this? Would love to hear it. My shortlist has been Spatial, Scratch, Liminal, Texture and Untitled...

Almost 16 months in the making, I'm finally at a point where I'm calling this good to go on the App Store. It's been my privilege to share the journey with you all, here's to the cool things still to come. Spatial is now available at

Combining all these interactions - wrap, drop, undo/redo, unfold, drop-back, unwrap... gives me that cozy feeling that things are starting to come together 🥰💖

Stacks will be an organic, lightweight way of grouping things together - without all the structure. Bunch stuff together, click to expand, open to view or pull back what's needed again. The lovely kind of mess.

Just had Fable do a complete re-architecture of the undo/redo chain. Super messy code. Have dreaded revisiting. This gets complex fast when moving stuff around in and out of stacks/folder. Fable did not miss one beat. Clean and working code. Very impressed

Alpha drop no 2 is out today and with it - videos! 🥳 For keeping motion and animation design references mixed in with your thoughts, lists and whatever else goes in to a digital shoebox. Thanks to all who's given input on Alpha 1, I'll invite a couple hundred more today.

Alpha feedback's been a firehose these past couple of months, and the quality's blown me away. Wrapping it up with tons of ideas. Also, using Spatial to sift through, make sense and prioritize it all has really been a treat.

Spatial finally has a home on the interwebs at Mostly helpful for getting a grip on what the app does, but you'll also see what's planned next, and what's been added lately.

This is so cool - fully on-device semantic search. Type "glass" and get clips with liquid glass. No manual tags needed. Runs an on-board MiniLM, vision ML, OCR and RRF fusion to blend signals to output. That's a mouthful, but means very speedy, hands-off and local on your Mac

Spatial now ships with a built-in MCP server, so you can use whole boards as context for Claude or Codex. As an example, you can let Claude analyze your visuals, reverse engineer a style prompt, and then save that prompt back as a new note.
