I posted this young man doing this drill yesterday. Several negative comments were made. 🙂 It’s amazing how so many people have no idea what they’re looking at…..yet are willing to comment. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ So I’m adding a video of Aaron doing the same drill his first time. He couldn’t square up one ball. My setup is 13’ from the machine. It’s set to throw 30-35mph. Minimum reaction time is 125mph This drill is EXTREMELY HARD TO DO ……until you get control of your forward move.

Oh. My. God. #shegone. Torpedo bat swings. 🙂🙂. 32mph from 13’. Reaction time same as 135mph pitch, Judy. 🙂 I’m 70, Judy. Yes it’s only going 32 through the zone Judy. But time from release to home plate is the same as 135. No, Judy, I didn’t have to deal with offspeed. But if someone else was here to alternate full and offspeed it’d be no problem. For me. But you, Judy? I would just love for Judy, the keyboard warrior, to come compete against me. 🙂 He scared. 🙂🙂

He came in with a long sweeping shift then swing swing. First session: All tee work. Learning to swing. Hand pivot. Rear leg pivot. Stretch. Wall Drill. Command Drill. Flips. Mixed speed flips. Second session: Propeller tee. Propeller flips. Propeller Machine. Hack Attack with bat. Ready at release Third session: Bat/Tee warmup. No stride hack attack. Stride hack attack. Fastball/changeup hack attack Fourth session: Bat/tee warmup. Flips. Mixed speed flips. Hack attack. Lots of fastball/changeup. He could not square balls the first hack attack session. Swing and miss. Flares This video shows his delight after finding launch quickness.

#shegone is having a fit over ‘ball anxiety’. 🙂. The phrase came from an exMLB’er. Here’s a current MLB’er who understands it. You have one swing. One launch. Executed without worry of exact pitch location or movement. Because the adjustment to location is made ‘on the fly’ after launch.
