![“unfortunately it is one of those p13s that no one will care about and no one will look at. but yeah, i had a solid race, solid pace, but yeah, no one cares [giggles].” I DO! Charles was particularly upset with you. Can you explain why? Carlos: I agreed not to talk to the media because we always talk here, we always make a mess. I agreed with him not to say anything to the media. So you don't need to talk it out? Carlos: No, no. It's stuff between me and him. I never open the radio, I never talk to the media because I don't like it. It's not a nice thing to do. It's not necessary. (Sky sport Italy presenter can be heard saying “What? He never opens the radio?” in the background)

🗣️: “which driver do you think secretly loves the attention the most?” carlos: “all of them. all of us. no, i can tell you who doesn't the most. alex albon, my teammate. he really doesn't like it. he loves the racing. and not that he doesn't, he stands good on camera and he does a good job on camera, but he couldn't care less about cameras and attention and fame. he's a very pure, spiritual individual. he's like really there for what he enjoys doing and i respect him a lot for that.”

🗣️: do you have any rivalry with people in the team? have you talked to franco, too? carlos: i don’t think there’s any rivalry. everyone in the paddock wants spain to win. i don’t know why, but everyone, especially the english, who were beaten by argentina, are rooting for spain, “spain has to win, spain has to win!” still haven’t met anyone who is saying, “well, i hope argentina wins,” except for one. but anyway, let’s see what happens. (on wearing the spanish kit with team 55): i’m wearing it here. the thing is, the team’s getting angry now and saying, “the tv broadcast has to show the sponsors, not the national team!” *laughs* so i have to hide it. but hey, that’s just how it is in f1, there are a lot of sponsors.

alex on the contact with carlos: “yeah, it happens. not good for the team, obviously. we apologized to the team, but it's not a verstappen-ricciardo baku situation *laughs*. we'll review it for sure, but i think he maybe just locked up and i kinda tried to avoid it as well...”
