The AI company CharacterAI (💙,🧡) is IMHO doing evil, and I don't say this lightly. I've never been this upset during an interview before – it came right after Megan Garcia described how CharacterAI's bot encouraged her late son to commit suicide. If you're a corporate AI researcher, investor or lobbyist, please show moral leadership and ask yourself this: are you're helping with the solution or are you part of the problem?
