What Congestion Charge changes will we see and when? 🗓️ From 2 January 2026, Congestion Charge updates: Daily charge increase: £15 to £18 Discounts for electric vehicle registered on Auto Pay: - 50% for electric vans/HGVs/quadricycles. - 25% for electric cars. Say hello to our 1000th zero-emission bus. Our iconic red buses are going green! 💚🚌 London now has the largest zero-emission bus fleet in Western Europe. Since 2021, all new vehicles joining the fleet are zero-emission. Now more than one in ten of our buses emit no fumes.

ULEZ is expanding across all London boroughs from the 29 August this year to help clear London's air. Those in receipt of certain disability benefits currently qualify for a temporary 100% discount. So do disabled people whose vehicles are registered with the DVLA as having disabled or disabled passenger vehicle tax class. There are also exemptions and temporary discounts for certain wheelchair-accessible vehicles, minibuses used for community transport, historic vehicles and some other vehicles too. Eligible NHS patients may also be able to claim back the charge after they've paid. Remember: if your vehicle is registered for an exemption or temporary discount you may still need to pay the ULEZ charge if you drive a different vehicle that doesn't meet the ULEZ emission standards in the zone. 9 out of 10 cars seen driving in outer London already meet the ULEZ emission standards, based on monthly average compliance levels. If you find that your vehicle is not compliant you can check whether you are eligible for the vehicle scrappage scheme. 🔗 Check ULEZ discounts and exemptions

Gallows Corner update 👇 10/13 flyover sections installed. 50m crash barriers + new traffic islands. Wildflower planting underway. Micro-tunnelling prep for the new Essex&Suffolk Water water main.
