When CDC held a seminar to discuss the matter, they chose U of Michigan's Emily Martin to defend their poor science. I looked into Martin's background and it's absolutely hilarious!!! Martin published a 2022 "masks work!" essay that relied on work by Tom Jefferson w/ Cochrane. But Jefferson told me that Martin cherry-picked an out of date version of the Cochrane study, because it told Martin what she wanted to hear.
