Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has pledged to visit Peki Senior High Technical School (PESTECH) after a documentary by The1957News laid bare the school's infrastructure and sanitation challenges. The1957News screened the documentary for the Minister at his office, taking him through the conditions students currently endure, including inadequate toilet and bathroom facilities, deteriorating classrooms and insufficient furniture in the dining hall. The Minister appeared visibly pensive throughout the screening, occasionally shaking his head at some of the most troubling scenes, particularly the sanitation facilities serving the school's population of over 1,000 students. Following the screening, he pledged to visit PESTECH to assess the situation firsthand and determine the interventions needed to improve conditions for students and staff.

Fashion designer Michael Brett Odoom, founder of The Cultured Man (Nateev), has suffered a significant loss after floodwaters submerged his factory at Tse Addo, a suburb of Accra, following Monday’s heavy rains. Tailoring machines, finished suits, branded souvenirs, and several pieces of equipment were all submerged as floodwaters swept through the facility, leaving the entrepreneur counting his losses after the devastating downpour.
