A lot of people won't understand how hard it is to read out of a mugged look like this against GT Counter. Maybe one of the best re-fits we've seen from a 5 or 6 up look from #14 (Christian Alliegro). Get access to more Breakdowns, Cut-ups, playbooks and All-22 inside the Coaches Circle and Video Library. Matt Patricia has a new Sub package wrinkle every single week. Normal 5-0 double mug alignment, very often a mirror concept. Instead this time the two mugged Linebackers read the slide of the protection (4-1 Lock). Sonny has his guard step away so he's in the pressure, Arvell's guard steps at him so he drops out. Gives the defense a 1 on 1 with the RB. For more film and film breakdowns join the Fans Circle and Film Library!!! Link for Fans Circle: Link for Library:

Indiana is probably the best DL Movement/Twist team in recent memory, especially out of their odd fronts. 4i/0t Pick Twist set AWAY from the RB. 4i picks center and nose wrap to open space creating a free runner. Well designed from Michigan, difficult to sort this run fit. Caleb Downs has the right idea post-snap, but the 2nd level needs to adjust pre-snap to make this fit workout when the motion happens. 6 hats for 6 hats and Caleb is the extra defender or someone has to win a one on one. This play will haunt these guys for awhile, well designed from Miami. Unbalanced forces the defense to shift at one of the levels. They choose not to NOC the front and instead the 3rd level adjusts. You can see #7 tell #18 to bump back over to the boundary pre-snap. Get access to more Breakdowns, Cut-ups, playbooks and All-22 inside the Coaches Circle and Video Library. Matt Patricia has more in his base then just spot drop cover 3 and one gap mechanics. Ohio State in Cover 6 on the backend, gain back a number by running a Torch Stunt (First iv seen this year). Torch: "Center's face at me I wrap, Center's ass at me I take both A gaps. Light box mechanic. For more content and access to this All-22 and more join the Fan's Circle and the Video Library!!! Sayin will want this back on 4th and Goal from the 4 yard line. Slant Flat to the field, Defense is supposed to pass the flat off, but busts. Sayin doesnt pull the trigger to the RB.

Caden Curry is the fan favorite right now for good reason. But as a Coach I am partial to Kenyatta...The highest ceiling of the DL room in my opinion, just so technical and smooth. While Curry is a bull in a phonebooth. For more film and film breakdowns join the Coaches Circle and Film Library!!! Link for Fans Circle: Link for Library:

I have yet to find a defense that doesn't carry this pressure path. Penny (5-1) Bears (Double A Gap) Cover 1 with two rats. Field rat is able to get a hand on the ball in the High Redzone. Big coverage wrinkle coming from Matt Patricia. Looks like Match Cover 2 (Cut) with the 2nd level pieces playing "Cut" or Man Except Out on #1 and #2. Inverted so the Field Cover is the Deep 1/2 player. First time iv seen Ohio State run this coverage concept. Why the BOSS (Bigs on Same Side) Front? Dictate protection. 9 times out of 10 teams will choose to half slide and stick the 3 man slide to the BOSS leaving the back responsible for the A gap like you see here. Indiana runs the off ball LB through the crease forcing a quick incompletion. Get access to more Breakdowns, Cut-ups, playbooks and All-22 inside the Coaches Circle and Video Library. Muschamp's number 1 pressure against Ohio State from week 2 was this overload that could be set multiple ways and had multiple coverage variations. The one tied together with inverted Cover 2. Texas plays Cut on #2 to both sides of the formation taking #2 up and back showing MOFC pre-snap. This is the one everyone will kick themselves on. A front/pressure Miami show dozens of times on film. 4 Down Fromm (Field Bullet) with spot drop 3D/3U FZ behind it. Post safety even bites hard on Sayins first peek keeping Klare open. But Ruben Bain is an issue. Aranda talking how the front “technique” dictates how you play the second level. Gap charge DL (one gap) = Fill and Fold LBs. Attack React/React Attack = Rope-A-Dope (Stack Track Fallback). All the pieces have to fit.
