Besides Tyreek telling them not to bang on his window like that, what did he do to deserve the aggressive nature from that cop with tattoos? And Jonnu Smith is on the phone, not being disrespectful and willing to comply with the one officer who told him to leave but then another officer comes in purely aggressive. Calais Campbell is backing up and being compliant but is also met with aggressiveness. This shouldn’t have escalated to this. Tyreek even says he had knee surgery (could be a scope) this off-season and they make cracks about ear surgery cause they didn’t think he was listening. This thing just screams power trip from the officers on scene. #GoFins

I like this a lot. Full circle moment - passed over for DC, left, perfected his craft and now interviewing for a HC spot. His defense in Jacksonville is fantastic. And in case you forgot - he has the type of personality that would make you run through a wall for him. #PhinsUp

Malik Willis was traded by the Titans to the Packers for a 7th round pick. Matt LaFleur’s staff worked with him and began to properly develop him, now he’s arguably the most desired free agent on the QB market this year. I wonder what would happen if Will Levis was traded/released by the Titans and joined a team with a great staff that can develop QBs. The traits have been evident since Penn State and Kentucky. Malik Willis was further evidence of just how much situation/environment matters and I think Will Levis is another example of that.

Pelissero says Willis will get $20-$30 Million on the open market and not to photoshop him in a Dolphins jersey just yet. Rapoport says it may be too hard for Willis to land in Miami because of his price tag. I really think people have underestimated his value. As I’ve said on Phinside The NFL - if Fields got $20 Million/year from the Jets what do you think Willis will get considering he isn’t considered a bust, still has ceiling left to hit and a ton of intrigue regarding his development?

I LOVE THIS! FINALLY! MIAMI GOT A STUD! Chris Bell is my WR8 and would have been higher if not for the ACL injury. Most projected him to run a 4.3 to a low 4.4 at the combine. 6’1 ⅞, 222 lbs., Chrisl Bell will over flexibility as an X, Z and flanker option for an offense. Bell can stretch a defense vertically on any given play, he’s good in space whether it’s his understanding of angles or using his pure raw talent to make a defender miss, has a nice wide catch radius, tracks the ball well, has good balance to play through contact and he loves the physical aspect of the game. This is a potential 1st round talent if he stays healthy. #PhinsUp

Kadyn Proctor was my 22nd ranked player. BUT the ceiling is ridiculous. Monster in the run game, has that mean streak you love to see, moves so well for his size at 6’6, 350+ lbs., has a fantastic frame with length to match. The big issues are his playing weight and diet, needs a bit of technical refinement as a pass blocker and he was strictly a LT at Alabama, so what’s the vision for where he lines up? #PhinsUp

One of my man crushes of this draft and someone I’ve said is the perfect scheme fit for the off-man/match coverage Halfey runs. Chris Johnson is a high level IQ player with great route recognition, smooth feet, fluid hips, no issues staying in phase with a WR, 4.4 40 speed, legit boundary option with some slot reps, thrives in zone/off man/match coverage. Just a stud. I LOVE THIS PICK! #PhinsUp

Kenneth Grant was my DT1 and next to Will Johnson (if healthy), was my favorite option at #13. ✅ Elite (Alien) Athlete for his 6’3 5/8, 331 lbs. frame ✅ High level power - can collapse a pocket with a bull rush or put a OG on their ass with one arm ✅Top tier run defender who can eat up doubles, one gap or two gap, can shed and stack blockers, etc. ✅ High upside as a pass rusher, pass rush move arsenal needs expand but you see him use his length, strength and athleticism to win ✅ Damn near immovable anchor ✅ Versatile across the front and not simply a NT or a two down player ✅ High motor ❓Can he take on a bigger workload? 2024 was his first season with 500+ snaps ❓Can have leverage issues due to pad level being too high which can also give him problems with his balance ❓Hands and fundamentals do need a bit of coaching up due to a simple lack of reps #PhinsUp

Back in September, I tweeted out asking if Baylor QB Sawyer Robertson was the most slept on QB in this draft class and with a thinned out crop, he's probably going to be a Top 5 QB in this draft class for me when my big board drops. 6’4, 225 lbs., an arm that oozes talent displaying good touch on deep balls and with the ability to layer the ball over second level defenders. He can drive the ball real well with great velocity, make throws off platform and really, can threaten all three levels. I think he doesn’t get enough credit for his pocket presence and overall feel for it plus he’s mobile enough to create out of structure. Robertson does need to be more consistent with his accuracy and I think that starts with him needing to be coached up mechanically because you see the baseball background impact his lower and upper body mechanics at times on tape. But if you’re talking about taking a Day 3 flier on a QB who you can develop and isn’t expected to start immediately, Robertson fits the bill as one of a few intriguing options in this draft. #PhinsUp

The All-22 of Tua’s 35 yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill is even more beautiful than the broadcast. Tua uses his body, hips, head and eyes to manipulate Derwin James further off his spot after he already crept up off Smythe’s motion as the linebackers shifted. Tyreek absolutely cooks JC Jackson, who is in press, off his release with his lightning feet, a quick jab step inside and then explodes outside creating good separation with Jackson now trailing. Tua drops a dime and the Dolphins took a 27-24 lead at the time. #finsup

This was my favorite answer from the Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley presser. "We have certain principles and pillars within how we approach the draft that I won't get into because I don't want to give away the secrets to the sauce" Then he gets into the "principles" of free agency that he doesn't want to get into because that would be "helping out our competition". Why am I so elated by all of this? Well, for years I've praised and said I wanted a GM like Ozzie Newsome was for Baltimore. I was really high on Chad Alexander being added to the GM search like I was with Jon-Eric Sullivan, whether Harbaugh came to Miami or not, because of their backgrounds and who Sullivan and Alexander came up under for 20+ years. When you look at the teams who have been consistent playoff contenders and have found constant regular season success, you think of the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, etc. These teams have organizational blueprints for roster construction through draft and free agency that have been in place for decades that GMs, coaches, etc. down the line can build with and become ingrained in their makeup. That's why you can look towards those teams and say that franchise has an identity while for decades, the Miami Dolphins have not had one that works. Under McDaniel, their identity became fast, finesse and soft, which to no one's surprise wasn't sustainable and didn't work. The teams with these organizational blueprints in place do have their differences (GB and the way they develop QBs, Baltimore has always been able to run the ball no matter who they draft, etc.) but all are similar in the sense that they're built to be tough, physical and to control the LOS first and foremost above everything else. I really hope Jon-Eric Sullivan can put an organizational blueprint for roster construction in place for the Miami Dolphins that can be used long after he's gone (and successful) like Ozzie Newsome did in Baltimore to which the Miami Dolphins can finally have an identity they can be proud of and sustain moving forward. #PhinsUp

If the Miami Dolphins don't land Mauigoa, Fano or Ioane with the #11 pick, I will be one of the ones in this fanbase pounding the table for Keylan Rutledge at #30 (if he's still on the board) if upgrading the offensive trenches on Day 1 is one of the new regime's goals. He not only made my annual Draft Man Crush List but he was one of the funnest watches this whole draft cycle for me. Absolute bulldozer in the run game and a really good pass protector, Rutledge is 6’3 ¾, 316 lbs., with a bulky, wide frame that has good length to it (33 ¼ arms and 80’ wingspan), plays with a lot of power and physicality with that nasty, take your head off to feed my family type of demeanor you love to see. Plus, as seen by the combine testing that backed up his film, he’s a very smooth, fluid mover for his size. #PhinsUp

I thought Trinidad Chambliss vs. Georgia in The Sugar Bowl was the best QB performance of the College Football Playoffs so far. He was fantastic and in a thin QB draft class is rising his stock and earning himself some money if he declares for the 2026 NFL Draft. #CFBPlayoff

People are upset CBS mocked Dante Moore to Miami at #1 in their way too early (key words) mock draft for 2027's class? Why? Kid is a stud if you watch the film and not the box score. Elite accuracy, touch and placement, unbelievable poise in the pocket under pressure and he's really accurate outside of structure, not to mention he reached a top speed of 20 mph vs Iowa in November, so he is far from slow footed too. He's going to be even better with another year under his belt as a starter, did you see how good he looked at the Oregon spring game? Does everyone also not know the history of returning Oregon QBs who went on to have huge Senior seasons? Mariota returned to win a Hesiman, Nix stayed back and was a Heisman candidate, Herbert returned and won the Rose Bowl, Harrington returned and was 4th in Heisman voting while leading Oregon to a Fiesta Bowl and Oregon's best season ever to that point if memory serves me correct, etc. Dante Moore is going to ball this year and it'll be him, Arch, Mensah, Carr, Mestemaker, Bailey, Sellers, Maiava, etc. battling it out to be the #1 pick in 2027 (2028 is going to be my guy JKS, Washington, Underwood, Carr if he returns, etc.). If Malik flops, sign me up all day for Moore in 2027. #PhinsUp
