Whenever people talk about animating horses in Steel Ball Run, I think of what Toei was doing with their Romance of the Three Kingdoms movie trilogy back in the 90's. Absolutely insane levels of production throughout.

Refusing to watch magical girl anime like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Tokyo Mew Mew because they're not masculine enough is certainly... a choice.

I wish people could engage with experiences they find less 'palatable' without reflexively being dismissive. It sucks when people do it for women's experiences and perspectives and it sucks here. Ironically, GTO is all about not letting other's prejudice dictate your worth.

But for 50% of the stuff he doesn't like, he basically just calls it "diddy media" and the other 50% he just attempts other really cringe dunks. He very obviously just doesn't give enough of a shit to actually engage with what he's talking about in any capacity.

I keep forgetting to actually promote the podcast on here lmao. Anyway, hopefully people haven't memoryholed last season yet, because it was probably one of the best Winter seasons in years. Go check it out because we have a lot of hot takes.
