"Can I borrow your towel?" is one of the most unforgettable scenes in Fletch (1985) In an interview, Dana Wheeler specifically remembered that when Chevy Chase walked through the door and said the line, he simply delivered it as he walked in. In other words, according to Dana, that particular line wasn’t something they had extensively rehearsed. It came from Chevy in the moment, and that was the take that made it into the movie.

The kissing scene between Samara Weaving and Bella Thorne in "The Babysitter" was intentionally designed to prepare the audience for the film's dramatic tonal shift. Director McG used the sequence to soften the audience before the film's sudden tonal shift into violence, chaos and horror. The contrast made the events that followed feel even more shocking and unpredictable, giving the scene a greater purpose within the film. The scene became a standout moment and it also helped establish Samara Weaving as a modern scream queen and a rising star of the horror genre.

Phyllis Davis punishment scene in Sweet Sugar (1972) is one of the film's standout moments. She's publicly punished for refusing to give in, but instead of breaking her, it only makes Sugar more determined. It's a raw and intense scene that really shows her tough side. The punishment becomes a turning point for Sugar, pushing her toward the wild and chaotic jungle escape later in the film.

The table scene in "American Hustle" is pure psychological warfare. Bradley Cooper’s unhinged ambition vs. Amy Adams icy manipulation, the chemistry was downright electric. Every glance across that table felt dangerous, turning a high-stakes con into an absolute masterclass in tension, sed*uction and power. Watching them weaponize desire while secretly trying to destroy each other makes this one of the sharpest, most volatile acting duels of the 2010s.

Lee Meredith as Miss McIntosh, the striking blonde nurse in "The Sunshine Boys" (1975), was perfectly cast. She brought a dazzling mix of glamour, comic timing, and classic vaudeville style to the iconic "The Doctor Will See You Now" sketch. Neil Simon and Herbert Ross chose her specifically for the role because she had already cemented her reputation as cinema's quintessential glamorous comedic blonde as Ulla in The Producers (1967).

Phyllis Davis became one of the most memorable faces of ’70s exploitation cinema with "Sweet Sugar" (1972). She played Sugar Bowman, a young woman sent to a brutal women’s prison, in a role that demanded plenty of physical scenes and a fearless performance. The movie was filmed in Costa Rica and pushed Davis into a much wilder kind of role than the television work she was known for at the time. Today, "Sweet Sugar" remains one of the cult films most associated with Phyllis Davis and her career.
