A horrifying event unfolded on October 1, 2017, as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock unleashed gunfire upon the crowd at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, from his 32nd-floor suite in the Mandalay Bay hotel. His barrage of over 1,000 rounds resulted in the deaths of 60 individuals and left at least 413 wounded. The chaos escalated, bringing the total injured to around 867. Approximately an hour later, Paddock was discovered deceased in his room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The official motive behind the shooting remains undisclosed.
