Howard County Police have released footage of a woman shooting a gas station employee during an attempted robbery in Columbia, Maryland 🔫 The shooting occurred on Friday evening at the Shell gas station on the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way. The male victim, a clerk at the store, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Howard County Police Department are seeking the suspect seen below, who fled the scene after the shooting ⬇️

JUST IN: two suspects have been detained after a felony traffic stop on the Beltway at the Dulles Access Road in Tysons Corner, Virginia. They were traveling in a white Mercedes and are believed to be involved in the shooting a few minutes ago in Bailey’s Crossroads. Virginia State Police and Fairfax County Police (and their helicopter) tailed the suspects and swiftly placed the two occupants in handcuffs. DC Police were initially on scene outside of the nightclub at 1400 block of Okie Street NE when they observed a fight break out. (~1:30am) At that point, a male— identified as 37 year-old Tyrone Williams of Suitland, Maryland— stabbed the victim in front of police officers and assaulted another person. JUST IN: The driver who struck and killed DC police officer Terry Bennett on I-695 has been charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed. 47 year-old Jerrold Coates— a DC government employee with the Department of Parks and Recreation— had to be given NARCAN after the crash, according to NBC Washington’s Mark Segraves. In a video taken after the fatal crash by Nick Sortor, (second slide) Coates appears out of it and possibly under the influence. It was also later determined that Coates is a paraplegic and was driving using hand controls. Over the summer, President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum ‘directing the Attorney General and the US Attorney for the District of Columbia to fully enforce Federal capital punishment laws’ in all ‘appropriate cases’ in Washington DC, which includes for the murder of a police officer. “Death penalty in Washington,” President Trump said during an Oval Office signing on September 25th. “You kill somebody, or if you kill a police officer… death penalty.” The arrest is set to be officially announced later today during a U.S. Attorney DC press conference.

WATCH: a 19 year-old male has been arrested and charged with shooting two people at a Kensington, Maryland Safeway garage during an illegal car rally earlier this month 🔫 On April 4th at around 2:30am, Montgomery County Police responded to the Safeway parking garage on Armory Ave in Kensington for a shooting. Moments later, two victims arrived at nearby hospitals having been shot. It was later determined they had come from the location of the illegal car rally. Hermes Matewere is charged with two counts of first-and-second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and multiple firearms violations. (to including possession of a firearm by a minor) He is being held without bond.

WATCH: Police dashcam footage shows a Montgomery County Police sergeant’s cruiser being destroyed during a street takeover on East-West Highway at Connecticut Ave in Chevy Chase, Maryland 🚨 In total, two cruisers were damaged during the attack, with one having the entire rear windshield busted out. Amazingly, no officers were injured. No arrests have been made for the incident as of now. Maryland State Police assisted in clearing out the takeover, at which point it is believed the group continued into Fairfax County, Virginia to do another street takeover on Georgetown Pike at Dolley Madison Boulevard. (see our earlier report)

ANOTHER NPS REOPENING IN WASHINGTON DC: After months of being closed and under construction, the statue at the Philip Sheridan Memorial in Washington DC has officially reopened this afternoon 🏇 As part of President Trump’s ‘Make DC Safe and Beautiful’ Task Force, the National Park Service repainted the statue black (previously green) and has ensured that the water fountains are flowing once again. Previously, the fountains on both sides had been inoperable. The equestrian statue of General Philip Sheridan sits at Sheridan Circle on Massachusetts Ave NW. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held by the National Park Service at 2:30pm today for the grand reopening.

NEW: the suspect in the Beltway stabbing has been ID’d as 32 year-old Jared Llamado, who resided in McLean, Virginia. He was later shot and killed by Virginia State Police Troopers on I-495 while still armed with the murder weapon. The woman who was stabbed and killed has been identified as 39 year-old Michelle Adams. Three other victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. An angle posted online shows a female bystander stepping in to try to stop Llamado from killing Ms. Adams. It is believed that she was stabbed during the brazen attack as well. Virginia State Police continue to investigate the incident.

Three males have been trespassed after being found inside of a closed Raising Cane’s in College Park, Maryland At around 10:17pm, a Prince George’s County police officer in the area observed the group inside of the popular chicken joint, which had been temporarily closed tonight. It is unknown if the doors to the restaurant had actually been locked or not. The males were identified by University of Maryland Police as UMD students, per police radio transmissions. They were reportedly issued trespassing notices and sent on their way. It is unknown if charges will be brought at a later date. #UMD
