Did you know that the gritty bassline on "Roadhouse Blues" wasn't played by a session regular, but by Blues legend Lonnie Mack? At the time of the MORRISON HOTEL sessions, Mack had actually quit the music industry to sell Bibles. He was recruited by the band to provide that signature "chugging" rhythm.
