It may be Christmas, but it’s also a special day for Official Robby Krieger and Lynn Krieger, their wedding anniversary. The two were married on this day in 1972, and they’ve been together ever since. Their story began in 1967 when they first crossed paths at New York’s Ondine discotheque. The rest is history.

Did you know that the gritty bassline on "Roadhouse Blues" wasn't played by a session regular, but by Blues legend Lonnie Mack? At the time of the MORRISON HOTEL sessions, Mack had actually quit the music industry to sell Bibles. He was recruited by the band to provide that signature "chugging" rhythm. The session was so high-energy that it reportedly inspired Mack to come out of retirement and jump back into his own music career. “Let it roll,” and listen to “Roadhouse Blues” here:
