Happy Pancake Day to all those who worship the batter. Why not burn the roof of your mouth with a delicious Findus pancake?

I'm A Believer by Robert Wyatt is indeed a brilliant version of the song. This performance from TOTP was though lost for many years. Bloke off of Pink Floyd on drums.

You'll miss the BBC when it's gone!

RIP the great Kevin Keegan.

Focus - Hocus Pocus. Possibly the maddest song ever written. Heavy rock, yodelling, flute, whistling, drum solos - it's got the lot!

The great Oliver Reed, born on this day in 1938. In 1992 he ripped up The Word singing Wild Thing with Ned's Atomic Dustbin. And that wasn't even the most outrageous thing in this episode!

Happy Heavenly Birthday to the great Jon Pertwee. Here's one of his greatest moments - dancing ,as Worzel Gummidge, with pop group The Beat on a Saturday morning kids TV show. Skankin'!

Another Goodie gone. 😥 RIP Bill Oddie.

Television was born 100 years ago today. And it died on The Word in 1993.

Rod Hull, born on this day 90 years ago. No one was safe from Emu, not even A-List Hollywood actors such as Richard Pryor...

Who remembers the Banana Splits? Who remembers Cilla Black singing the theme tune? Oh my giddy aunt!

Happy Birthday to David Bowie. Here's one of his greatest songs.

Oh my giddy aunt! This version of Bohemian Rhapsody for Comic Relief has pretty much everyone from early nineties telly in it! It's hard to decide which bit is most excruciating!

Boss level childhood nostalgia unlocked: Derek Griffiths plays the Bod theme on a penny whistle!

"We're ending the show tonight with that Kraftwerk song about cycling, we need some visuals to go with it" "Get me Chico Johnson, the world hula hoop champion!"

On this day in 1977 John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett gave an astonishing DIY performance of their hit Really Free on Top of the Pops. The audience look utterly baffled.

70's kids favourite The Flashing Blade had a stonking theme tune! And love and life and happiness are well worth fighting for...

The mighty Geoff Capes, born on this day in 1949. No one could bend an iron bar quicker than he.

German Krautrock experimentalists, Can, make an appearance on Top of the Pops. Beautiful.
