This male blackbird is visiting our garden, staring into space, &amp; allowing me to get very close to video him Bert the Bold, the new owner of our garden senses there is something wrong, &amp; is not chasing him off Anyone bird experts know what could be wrong?

It really pains me to say this, but Bert has gone He would be back from moulting way before now, so the fact he isn’t, means he will not be returning We won’t give up hope, but we are braced for the worst

The very normal sight of a Giant Sequoia slowly swaying in the wind in a British churchyard There are estimated to be half a million Giant Redwood in Britain, and nearly all are about 170 years old

There is the same young male blackbird now singing from Bert’s favourite tree. The same bird that shows me no fear, &amp; knows where I placed Bert’s raisins I am convinced it is a mini Bert, and he has been here before. I hope we become friends now that Bert has passed 🥲🐦‍⬛

This is Bert the blackbirds son, Bert the Bold Walks the whole length of our garden, as his dad did with him as a fledgling, to the place the nice human leaves raisins for them He is ‘Bold’ because from day one he just walked up to me with no fear

The ‘thank you for the raisins’ song Each and every time Bert has raisins he sings this unique song Yes we had breakfast together. I had a croissant
