3rd and 1 deep shot to Justin Jefferson in single coverage. Kevin O'Connell talked about it on Monday, stating that he wouldn't change the call. "Best receiver in football in a one-on-one with a run call you feel good about on fourth and one. I would not change that call." The lack of running the ball is a very fair criticism, but these are the shots you should be taking

Let's talk about the strip sack of J.J. McCarthy. The Vikings call a tunnel screen up top with 5 players on the line of scrimmage. Brian O'Neill needs to account for the LB in front of him with their protection rules, meaning he's supposed to let Brian Burns go past him. The simulated pressure makes it look really bad, but O'Neill plays it correctly. McCarthy needs to do one of two things -Throw it away -Curl up and protect the football He does neither, and it's a disaster. It's fair to blame McCarthy and the odd sequence where they wasted a lot of time, but O'Neill doesn't deserve any of it.

The Vikings might have something in Michael Jurgens. Watch him climb to the second level to seal this outside zone run

Justin Jefferson pops open on the basic, but J.J. McCarthy takes the hook. He can manipulate the LB in conflict to keep the window clear to hit Jefferson, and that will come in time

This is a more frustrating J.J. McCarthy throw than the Myles Price miss. Vikings run one of their staple red zone plays with Tai Felton coming open on the backline. Easy throw to lay in, and McCarthy just blasts a rocket ball
