Proof of what seven days in a toxic environment did to the human body. The first clip showed my baseline. I was full of energy and breathing clearly. The second was recorded just one week after I was exposed to the biohazards in my home. You could see the respiratory struggle and the physical toll that inhaling toxins took on my system. I’ve been out of that home for 35 hours and I’m already starting to feel better. We witnessed a dangerous phenomenon where medical expertise was treated as a mere "opinion" by people with zero scientific training. Two board-certified physicians, who understood the complexity of my Spinal Cord Injury and my restricted lung capacity, formally declared that environment lethal. Yet and still I was met with medical gaslighting from people who believed they could override doctors because they "didn’t see" the danger with their naked eye. This was a total lack of value for disabled lives. When a disabled resident told management they were in danger, "clean enough" was a death sentence. There was a critical difference between "clean" and "safe" that many failed to grasp. Per IICRC S500 standards, that sewage was Category 3 water grossly unsanitary and filled with pathogenic agents. You could not simply "disinfect" sewage out of porous subflooring and drywall bc those materials trapped bacteria that eventually aerosolized. For an able-bodied person, that was a health risk. For an SCI survivor, that air was an immediate pathway to Sepsis or Autonomic Dysreflexia. To suggest the environment was safe just because visible waste was "emptied" was a humiliating display of ignorance regarding how airborne pathogens work. This case study illustrated why disabled people stay in constant danger. We were told to "trust the experts," yet when two doctors mandated a move-out for life-safety reasons, non-professionals felt entitled to play medical expert. My life depended on biohazard containment, not "structural survival." I did not have the luxury of waiting for the invisible to become lethal before it was taken seriously. I was paralyzed from the chest down almost six years ago and leaving the hospital was actually extremely hard for me. I grew a close bond with everyone who took care of me. Nurses, respiratory therapists, even janitors. I was hospitalized for a total of two months and the transition back home to live a regular (or as close to it as I could get) life was extremely difficult. Six years later, I still look back on my time in the hospital and feel overwhelming gratitude for the people who treated me like family. I can only hope and pray that they stumble across my content one day and see how far I’ve come. Their kindness and warmth is something I will carry with me forever. I’ll never forget these people❤️

They told me the issue was resolved. My body proved otherwise. When I brought a single bag of laundry from my 'cleaned' apartment into my hotel, my chest burning hit a Level 10. I ended up in the ER the next morning. Now that I’ve removed this bag and sanitized every surface you see in this video, my pain dropped to a Level 3. The proof is in the response: If a single bag can cause a respiratory crisis, the home is not safe. My lungs are the whistleblowers management is trying to ignore.

Stop emailing the leasing office when dealing with neglected maintenance and health hazards. You need to move the conversation from customer service to LEGAL liability. Apparently landlords will use their lawyers to “intimidate” you by sending threatening letters while you’re already displaced and in a medical crisis. They really thought I was gonna be scared 😭 Today I officially served a 30-page evidence vault to the Registered Agent in Austin, Corporate HQ in Phoenix, their Eviction Lawyer in Nashville, and the local San Antonio office. This packet documents every maintenance failure and email they’ve ignored, my ER records, and the doctor’s mandates they willfully overlooked while my home became unlivable. Each red folder was notarized, stamped as a Formal Legal Notice, and sent via Certified Mail with a Return Receipt. This creates a federal paper trail and a signature that strips away their "we didn't know" defense. Awwww, you had your lawyer send me a letter? 🥹 I sent her a packet. The 72-hour clock for a good faith response starts now.

am fighting for my life right now. For the last few days, I have been breathing in air contaminated by raw sewage that flooded my apartment. The corporate owners, Bryten Real Estate Partners, eventually sent a crew to clear the visible waste, but that didn't solve the problem. I want to be very clear about why I am still so sick. Just because the floors look clean now does not mean the home is safe. When raw sewage sits in a house, it releases microscopic bacteria and toxins into the air. Every time I breathe, I am taking those poisons into my lungs. Because of my medical history (spinal cord injury, collapsed lung, breathing machine) and being immunocompromised, my body cannot fight these pathogens off like a healthy person’s could (and ‘healthy’ people still die from this) My immune system is already under a heavy load, and breathing in these toxins is a direct threat to my life. Two different doctors have confirmed that my lungs are in distress and my home is a life-threatening environment. My lungs have been on fire for days. My doctors have legally told me I cannot go back into that apartment until it passes a real, scientific air test. I send Bryten emails tirelessly. They do not respond. I’m sure the “Freeze” is advice from their lawyers. Management has been heartless. They only offered to test the air after my doctors made it a requirement. But even then, they tried to use a test that wouldn't actually find the toxins making me sick. As soon as I sent them a list of the actual scientific standards needed to prove the air was safe, they canceled the testing. They would rather leave me sick and displaced than pay for a test they can’t fake. They also lied to my renter’s insurance, and they’ve ceased communication with me. I am left with no financial support from them at all. My next-door neighbor has a two-year-old child living in worse conditions, and Bryten Real Estate Partners knows that, but they still refuse to do the right thing. I’ve had to stop my training and my coaching is on hold. Right now, I simply don’t have the physical or mental capacity to work or make the videos you all love. I am exhausted and I’m facing being penniless while I fight for my survival. I won’t stop fighting this. I am holding this corporation accountable so they can’t do this to anyone else. I waited until the very last second to ask for help because I hate doing it, but I’m out of options. The only reason I’ve even gotten them to do the bare minimum is because of you all. I’ve had to stop my bodybuilding training and my coaching is on hold. Right now, I simply don’t have the physical or mental capacity to work or make the videos you all love.
