The Blood of Dawnwalker Review 🔸 Rebel Wolves clearly takes inspiration from The Witcher 3 but Dawnwalker has enough original ideas to stand on its own. 🔸 The story, characters and atmosphere are among the game's strongest elements. 🔸 The main story is really good. 🔸 You can approach the story in different ways with the game giving players an impressive amount of freedom. 🔸 Choices have meaningful consequences and quests can develop in unexpected ways. 🔸 The 30 day time system gives your decisions real weight without constantly making you feel rushed. 🔸 The day/night system is one of the game's biggest strengths. 🔸 Coen's human and vampire abilities create two very different approaches to exploration and combat. 🔸Vampire mechanics are really good & properly integrated into the game. 🔸 Combat is fast, brutal and satisfying, with vampire abilities adding another layer to encounters. 🔸 The open world exploration feels good and there are lots of things to discover instead of simply following map markers. 🔸 Side quests are also good and some of them become much more important 🔸 Voice acting and dialogue are pretty decent and some cutscenes are amazing. 🔸 It allows failure and unexpected outcomes instead of forcing players down one predetermined path. 🔸 The world and art direction create a fantastic dark medieval atmosphere. 🔸 Some bug issues, animation problems and performance drops. 🔸 Enemy encounters and combat can become repetitive, while some NPCs feel lifeless. 🔸 The loot system could also be improved. Overall The Blood of Dawnwalker is one of the most amazing new RPGs after a long time and a must play for fans of The Witcher style games.
