Picture this: College management tasks teachers with organizing a cultural event honoring Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The teachers, in turn, tasked the students. Students came up with the idea to dance to "Ooh La La, Ooh La La, Tu Hai Meri Fantasy," and the teachers didn't feel the song was inappropriate for the occasion, so they approved it. A few days ago, this video went viral, showing speed breakers on NH-25. People naturally assumed that locals had installed them, because who else would? After all, speed breakers are illegal on highways. Today, NHAI issued a "clarification" that they only had installed them at the "request" (read: political lobbying or pressure) of a local public representative, and that these are not speed breakers but rumble strips. Lol! The way these people think the aam janta of this country has no brains of their own is unbelievable!

The govt totally deserves this mocking. I mean, if you decided to surrender, fine, you could have done it by calling a press conference and resign by saying, 'We are bowing down to regular students.' Or you could have called Wangchuk and yielded to him. Or you could have called the parents of the NEET leak suicide victims, expressed regret, and resigned in front of them. You could have even called the ordinary students who were part of the protest. All of the above would be more sensitive and good optics too. But instead, you chose to call the trolls affiliated with a political party and desperately surrendered to every single demand of theirs. You were so desperate to shake hands and appease them. For what, man? Who was the think tank behind this?

They must have dreamed of a great future together, but cruel fate had other ideas. On June 18, Siya's birthday, Ketan fell to his death when he slipped while taking a picture of Siya at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra. Siya's world turned upside down. Feeling sad for her? Well, don't. The police found the story suspicious and dug deep. They now say that Siya was in a relationship with another guy named Chetan Chaudhary, 22. She did not want to marry Ketan, a man her family had chosen for her, so she devised a plan to eliminate him from her life before their arranged marriage could take place. Police claim that Siya lured Ketan to Lohagad Fort under the pretext of a casual outing for her birthday, where Chetan was also waiting. Together, Siya and Chetan threw him off the cliff. The police have since arrested them both. What is even more outrageous is that Siya had tried to throw Ketan off the cliff four days earlier, on June 14. However, a tree broke his fall, preventing a fatal outcome. As the buzz around the Jantar Mantar protest dies down, Madhya Pradesh is back in the news. SDM Ram Niwas of Panna district ordered two mobile covers worth ₹120 from Flipkart. When the delivery boy arrived with the sealed package, the SDM opened it and found only one mobile cover instead of two. Indian influencers are increasingly creating content that dehumanises Israeli tourists visiting India and puts their lives at risk. It's high time we took this seriously, called them out, and urged the relevant agencies to probe any financial or organised influence behind such content. Targeting a particular nationality, normalising hostility towards them, and endangering their safety cannot be brushed aside as "just content creation."
