75% of Canada's agri-food exports go to the United States. They pay a premium for our product. And yet we booed their anthem, banned their liquor, and implemented counter-tariffs arguably in breach of our own trade agreement. Mexico ( a country that had a wall built against it ) handled this relationship better than we did. Because they focused on fundamentals instead of feelings. The obvious answer is we need a good diplomatic relationship with the US. Yet everything the federal government is currently doing is leading to the opposite of that. ⚠️ It’s starting. Police are coming to Canadians homes for social media posts. This video is going viral. Two officers are at a woman’s home for the comments she made about Mark Carney. What I dont know is exactly what she said because that matters. If she is asking for him to be hurt or is asking for violence there are laws against this. But if she is just saying how much she dislikes him, is name calling etc that’s a whole other story. I know this future is coming to Canada either way. Carney wants us to be regulated like the UK where free speech is dead. Where you can’t criticize certain things (like him). If you know what that original post was drop it below please. In 2022, the government froze the assets of people who DONATED to a peaceful protest. They did this without a CBDC, without digital ID, and without AI enforcement. They did all of these horrendous acts of government overreach WITHOUT the powers that they're seeking now. Mark Carney was one of the people who advised this action. Alberta is the last stand for Canada. I’m not Albertan so personally, I would rather they stay in Canada because I understand the detrimental effects that this will have on the country. That being said, it might need to be done. Not just for Alberta - but for Canada. We might have to disassemble this whole thing so we can build something new. Nothing is working here. Our constitution, our judicial system, our parliamentary system….it’s time for a change. Maybe Alberta leaving is exactly what Canada needs to wake up.
